என் பட நாயகர்களைப்போலவே நானும் எளியவன்.கரடுமுரமான வாழ்க்கை பார்த்து வளர்ந்தவன்.அடையாளம் காணப்படாமலேயே அழிந்துபோயிருக்க வேண்டியவன்.மூன்று மணி நேரத் திரைப்படம் போல,உங்கள் முன் என் கதையையும் வைத்தேன். அவ்வளவே!. யாரும் யாருக்கும் எதுவும் சொல்லித்தந்து விட முடியாது பிழைக்கக் கற்றுத்தரலாம்.வாழ்வு அவரவர்களுடையதே."சுயமே சத்தியம் .சுயமே உன்னதம்".என்று நம்புவன் நான்.பராதீனம் ப்ராண சங்கடம்...."யாரையும் எதற்காகவும் சார்ந்திருக்க கூடாது என்பது வாழ்க்கை எனக்குக் கற்றுத்தந்த அனுபவம்.என்னையே எடுத்துக்கொள்வோமே...

ஒரு திரைப்பட இயக்குநருக்குரிய அடிப்படை இலக்கணங்களில் அடங்க மாட்டேன் இலக்கிய பரிச்சயம் பெரிதாக கிடையாது .உலகத்திரைப்படங்களை ஒடி ஒடிப் பார்த்ததும் கிடையாது மொத்ததில் பெரிய ஞானஸ்தனும் இல்லை ஆனால் எனக்குத் தெரிந்ததெல்லாம் வாழ்க்கை அது வழி நெடுங்கிலும் அள்ளி அள்ளித் தந்த அனுபவங்கள்
அனுபவம்தான் என் சொத்து!அதை லட்சக்கணக்கான இதயங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ள விரும்பியபோது அற்புதமான வாகனமாக அமைந்தது ஆனந்த விகடன்.

வாழ்வில் முன்னேறே முடியாமல் முயற்சி எடுக்கும் நேரத்தில் இலக்கை கைவிடுவோர்கள் கண்டிப்பாக படிக்க வேண்டிய புத்தகம். பாலாவை பற்றி நன்கு தெரிந்து கொள்ளவும், அவரது நேர்மறை யோசனைகளும் Positive thinking என்னை வியக்க வைக்கின்றன. பெருமிதம் நானும் ஒரு பாலாவின் ரசிகன்.

சுயசரிதம் எனக்கு பிடித்த வடிவங்களுள் ஒன்று. இயக்குனர் பாலாவையும் , அவரது வாழ்வு போராட்டங்கள் ஏமாற்றங்கள் வெற்றிகள் என அவரது வெவ்வேறு அனுபவங்களையும் இப்புத்தகத்தின் மூலம் அறிந்ததில் மகிழ்ச்சி .இது ஒரு சில வாழ்க்கைப்பாடங்களையும் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கலாம். வாசிக்க நிறைவளிக்கும், ஆர்க்கமூட்டும் வகையில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Autobiogaphy of one of the greatest film directors of tamil cinema. The person who changed the way of Tamil cinema in the past decade.

He is the one who changed the hero worshipping industory to change its path and made the story talking. And the one who made the characters we never bother on the roads into the celluloid and made us ashamed of our ignorances.

Now, Most of the new film directors in Tamil cinema are from his school. If you ask an upcoming hero, he would say his dream is to act in one Bala film in the hope that only one film is enough to take them into the heights of the industry as it did with Vikram and Surya.

This tell-all at the age of 36 before he even got married is really needed a great guts. The person who never completed his degree, the one who was into dopes, an alcoholic whom his family thought would die in an year, came to chennai with the aim to achieve something had come and achieved.

His first film was dropped at the starting day and he was rejected by other producers considering him unlucky. Now his films won 3 national awards already with him made only 5 movies so far. Really a great inspiration.

First I thought this is the book for those who wanted to make a mark in cinema, but it turned out to be a wonderful book to inspire those who wanted to achieve something in life.

ஒரே மூச்சில் படித்த புத்தகங்களின் வரிசையில் இதுவும் ஒன்று. "பாலா" படத்திற்கு பூசப்படும் ஒரு அடர்த்தியான சாயம். சோகமும், அழுகையும் ஒழுக படம் எடுக்கும் ஜித்தன் என்பதை மட்டுமே தெரிந்துவைத்திருக்கும் நமக்கு , ஒரு மிகப்பெரிய அதிர்ச்சியான அவருடைய சிறுவயது வாழ்க்கையை சொல்லி பிரம்மிக்க வைத்துவிட்டார். இதில் மாஸே சீயான் விக்ரமின் கடைசி டச்தான்...பக்கா...

Reading a Biography of your favorite person is always a delightful process. As a director I admire Director Bala, movies made by him are so natural and original. Making a movie close to the realism of a Human is the best process of movie making and this man bala does it with ease. This book is his travel as a young angry man, Asst director, devotee of Balu Mahendra and Ilayaraaja, direction process etc., Best part of this book is where he explain the travel with the great actor Chokkalinga Baghavathar, it opens many thoughts in my mind.

One of the best biography i read. From no one to a rememberable and recognized director of tamizh cinema. Whose almost most of the movies atleast won a national award in any category.
A must read book, who thought they are nothing and all the sorrows in the world only occur to them..
