From larger than life movie stars, to mutants on the run, vampire pleasures for sale, and love that spans lifetimes, good versus evil, and sacrifices made in the name of love.
My name is Alessia, and I write about sex. Sometimes it's pretty sex. Sometimes it's... not. I write about sex because I'm sick of preachy people using it to control others by turning it into something shameful. Sex is a crucible. It's a prayer, a celebration, an affirmation, and a motivation.

Here's the obligatory 3rd person promo bio:
Take one part Appalachian redneck, one part aging wet dream, and one part filthy-minded wordsmith. Mix well and serve with chocolate-covered cherries. There you have the one and only Alessia Brio. Alessia writes all colors and flavors of erotica, from heterosexual to ménage to same sex, and from twisted to humorous to deeply touching. Her work has earned her critical acclaim in the form of an EPIC eBook Award for Best Erotica (fine flickering hungers), two EPIC eBook Awards for Best Erotica Anthology (Coming Together: Against the Odds & Coming Together: Into the Light), two Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Best Erotica (Coming Together: For the Cure & Squeeze Play with Will Belegon), and a Romantic Times Top Pick (Coming Together: For the Cure) in addition to a plethora of glowing online reviews.
These stories are from the competition they held for 2011 as I recognize some from my voting.

Well I hate giving this anthology a low score but 2 good stories in it out weighs the other 10. So overall I give it a 1*.
I couldn't help but leave a five star rating for this anthology . . . probably because I'm one of the authors involved and I'm freaking awesome (mild sarcasm intended.) This contest was a great opportunity and I thoroughly enjoyed composing my entry, "A Fair Exchange." It's not your traditional romance. It's not sweet. There's no HEA ending, though I would argue it does technically embody a HFN ending (or perhaps more a "At-least-the-situation-is-less-screwed-up-now" ending.) I don't write cookie cutter stories. My heroes aren't perfect. They are not Greek gods. I write about real people in slightly unreal situations.
For those who did like my short story, you're in luck because there's a six book series coming out based around it. Book one will be releasing May 2012. Huzzah! I know this news just made your whole day.
To all of the other authors involved: Congratulations on a job well done. I know we all worked hard on our entries . . . and the mad dash to round up voters that then ensued.
Since I wrote one (Night Carnival)of these short short stories (2,500-3,000 words) I can't give it a true rating (but had to give it the best, of course)...just wanted to say it was fun being in the contest...but the real erotic stuff won the big prizes and my story is pretty much PG. In fact the most PG of all of them, I think, because I believe a story should be able to stand on the story alone. Still I'm proud of it. It's a nice little eternal vampire tale. Author for 40 years and 2012 EPIC EBOOK AWARDS FINALIST NOMINEE for my The Last Vampire-Revised Author's Edition, Kathryn Meyer Griffith (a Goodreads Author). rdgriff@htc.net
The stories started out promising. The first story, "Gathered Here This Night" reeled me in and left me begging for more. "The Run" was exciting and sweet. Unfortunately, the stories quickly deteriorated from there. "Vampire in the Window" sort of redeemed things. "Inhuman Resources" started out quirky and cute then seemed like it ended in the middle of the story.
As a whole I found the anthology way too uneven. I enjoyed the first two stories so much I'd gladly read Ada Marie Soto and Rachel Maria Gallagher again.
I had to skip one story that did not suck me in as the others did. Some were really good, others ok. Not much sex in the whole, more concentration on interaction with the characters. One or two of them were too short, I would have loved to read more about the MCs. Some had a very good concept that could be developed in a bigger book.
Theres some really good stories in this book...theres quite a few stories in this book by some awesome authors...i can't give you the description on the book...cause its not on goodreads...but...i can tell you one thing just like the other 3 books...i always enjoy my adventure!
