On the surface, this is a sort-of campaign supplemental for the Robotech RPG. Essentially, the players take on the role of a group of recruits who are run through a variety of simulated exercises in order to make them advanced level recruits. It even actively encourages them to utilize equipment outside their normal and/or preferred ones.

However, if you peel back that premise, just a little, this book can become the skeleton for an entire series of campaigns. Want to take your Squad/Squadron underwater and battle the Zentraedi beneath the wave? You can! Not only have we expanded upon the underwater rules already presented in the RDF Manual, but we even have an adventure or two, in the guise of these aforementioned simulations. Want to battle in space, or on the surface of Mars? We've got that. Want to run a few scenarios against the Soviets? Oh boy, do we have that...both in Mecha and on foot. How about a scavenger hunt? Oh, yes please!

Near the back there are also a few scenarios in which the players can escort an Ambassador (who's illustration looks suspiciously like one Lando Calrissian) to various locations.

For an interesting perspective, there is also a sort of standard missile load-out guide for each of the various types of Mecha. As a Game Master, is it tiring or monotonous to have your players load up with nothing but plasma missiles in their Mecha and ignoring the potential versatility of the slew of missiles available to them? Well, there's a chart to follow.

Lastly, tables, and we know how I love tables. There are tables to create random NPCs, from fellow recruits, to other officers, to enemies, etc.

Good adventure ideas and plots to use in the Robotech RPG. Nice art also. Recommended
