"Finding Dandi" is the story of Dandi and Lucas.

What a sweet and emotional roller coaster ride this was.

The book begins and we meet our MC's- the hero Lucas- a sex therapist and psychiatrist whose goal in life is to find happiness and settle down with a proper woman, something his philandering mother did not abide by- and the heroine Dandi- who changes everything for him.

Dandi is a sweet, kind hearted 19 year old who is forced and abused into stripping by a series of unfortunate events. When things couldn't get any worse, she is harassed into fleeing for her life, coincidentally meeting Lucas on the same day, and finding sanctuary with him. They have sizzling attraction blooming between them, but Dandi's tainted past carries itself like a shadow and society won't let her forget it. As they give into their passions and finally realize the depth of their feelings, tragedy strikes and the couple are separated.

Will they reunite and find their HEA?

A really beautiful book with flawed characters who have a sad past, but find love and happiness with one another. The love scenes are hot, but it's the angst and the emotional element of the book that made it a worthwhile read for me. And a hero that cries, apologizes and can keep it in his pants? Hell yeah!

Enjoyed it!

4.5 CONTROVERSIAL STARS

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD

This has got to be my favorite in this series along with the first two!
This book had everything:
1- heroine you can respect and root for
2- hero who is hot and passionately in love with heroine
3-hero who knows what he is doing in the bedroom but is not a manwhore
4-hero who is faithful for 3 years while trying to find the love of this life: heroine is faithful too
5-hot love making and sweet romantic moments
6-adventures and obstacles to overcome while growing a relationship built on love and trust
7-swoon worthy lines from the hero that felt so powerful and a little OTT ( Hell, yeah I loved that)
8- and did I mention he is HOT. I mean he is off the charts!!
I could go on and on but I would rather just say, I don't regret buying this book it was worth every dollar.
When I have lost my faith in humanity, I will read this book. After his first two misconceptions about the heroine, this hero is on the top of my book husband list.
Some reviewers stated that they were bothered by what he does for a living, but not me. I think this is such an misunderstood issue with people (their sexuality) and most people think that if you are having sex then everything is ok! That's so wrong. This subject has been overlooked in favor of more important topics like emotional stability or mental illness. We still have a way to go before we can talk about our sexual issues as well.
It's important and just as necessary to our wellbeing.
Worth a read and maybe one day a reread for me.

Happy reading.

Finding Dandi is the newest book in the Hell Yeah! Cajun Style series. Once again Sable immerses her readers into a wonderful story. Dandi and Lucas are two wonderful characters that grip you right from the start. One is stuck in a life that has been one painful event after another. The other is trying to make sure that they don't fall into the same mistakes as their parents. Then in a twist of fate the two find love. Grab your copy and find out what makes Dandi and Lucas's story so amazing. If you have not checked out the other two in the series get them today. I look forward to all of Sable's books because I know I will be immersing myself into the next adventure filled with sex, love, and laughter with a mystery mixed in.

All I can say is Finding Dandi is soooo worth the wait! I was entranced by this book from start to end. Lucas' and Dandi's mutual love for each other is so unconditional and pure that losing it is not an option. Highly recommended!

The blurb on the book seemed interesting and with all the 5 star reviews on Good Reads and Amazon, I thought this was going to be a great read... Now, seven chapters in, I feel like someone is gas-lighting me, and I'm not sure who is the culprit.

My first issue with the books is the writing, to say it was mediocre would be a gross over exaggeration. At one point the dialogue consisted of, "I've never felt like this before," and "This has never happened to me." Aside from the dialogue being sophomoric and unoriginal, these lines were stated within just a few hours of meeting and about 20 minutes total of dialogue between the two characters. That brings me to my second issue, this is a love at first sight story. Now, I don't mind a connection at first sight story, but in my view many times a love at first sight story is an author wanting to skip the work of building the love story between the characters.

Then there was all the little silly contrived misunderstandings. She's sick, she needs to take her insulin. Does she tell him? Why no, of course not! This is a romance!! Clear adult communication has no place here!! So he thinks she's a drug addict when he see's the needle, even then, it takes much back and forth before she say's "It's my insulin." Really? That couldn't have been said clearly up front?

Seven chapters in and I couldn't take anymore. Honestly if I don't care what happens to these characters at this point, and I don't, I never will.

My advice, reader to reader, don't believe the hype. I'm not sure what all the 5 star ratings are truly for. Perhaps this author has a very supportive family and friend network, which if true is wonderful. As you average everyday reader, this book is definitely not 5 stars unless you're into poorly written, juvenile dialogue, contrived twists and plot points, and ridiculous misunderstandings to spice up the drama. This book reads more as a fantasy you would create as your daydreaming, but would never actually write down, and certainly wouldn't have published.

I happened to read a few reviews of Sable Hunter's book, Finding Dandi, now, AFTER reading the book. So I want to say when I write a review, I don't go into story details. I figure a professional has already written the blurb to tell you about the book better than I ever could. My job is to simply state, in my humble opinion, if the book was any good. I read for enjoyment, not to dissect a book and point out if technical bits of a book are correct. I'm not in the medical field, nor do I have a problem with my sugar, so it really doesn't matter to me if Sable Hunter got her facts right in the book or not. Because, really, if I have a problem I think might be sugar related, I'm not going to think about what I've read in a romance novel. I'll be taking myself to a doctor. I have a bigger problem with a book that is full of spelling/grammar errors. That being said, I enjoyed Finding Dandi. I liked the way Sable stretched the book over time allowing Dandi to mature. I will certainly be reading more from Sable Hunter in the future. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I love Sable Hunter and her Hell Yeah Series. I have had the pleasure of reading a few of them, and loved each one of them for many reasons. The story behind the story is always a wonderful love story if you take the time to read between the lines. Each one of us has and will continue to have our own little ups and downs in life, some more than others. Dandi has certainly had her share, as has Lucas. For them to find each other to begin with is wonderful. To have lost each other only to fall into each others' laps once again, is truly beautiful.
The plot for this is awesome. It grabs you and brings you into its' depths, keeping you there until the end. Not the type of book you can read over a long period of time (not for me at least). The characters are strong and loving, both surviving deep hurts in their young lives, only to rise to become well rounded, upstanding citizens in their communities. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good love story.

Finishing this book, and indeed the others in the series, occurred only because I had made the mistake of purchasing from amazon the first 11 books in the series based on liking the blurb and the ratings. I skipped any reviews.

2 stars because I finished the book, if you can call the significant amount of page skipping actually finishing.

Now, I like erotic romance - I like erotica by itself and romance by itself so a well-written erotic romance is great. This book failed in all three categories.

From an erotic point of view, this book (and all others by Sable Hunter) was miserable. Every female lead is a virgin (unless they were raped at an early age) and every male is extremely well hung 8 inches or more. The sex between the two is 'off the charts' with instant orgasms from everyone, with or without penetration. The females are instant sex kittens who can deep throat first attempt, the blokes all seem to love 'tits' (I use that term because I can only recall once or twice in 11 books when they have been called anything else) with nipples that are like cow's teats from some of the descriptions. Of course, the female leads all read (or listen) to erotic romance so that is why they are so skilled despite having no experience. I can live with non-realist sex scenes, but these were so boring they were the section of the book I skipped just to get to the plot. Talking, way too much talking, sometimes the sex scenes seemed to be written in the first person rather than the third as it seemed every thought the characters had while getting it on were spoken out loud. Oral sex was always referred to as 'love on me', girl to guy or vice versa. Other regular phrases (across all books) include 'put him in me' and while it doesn't sound that bad in this review it was so horrible in the book that I was cringing each time.

Now to the plot. This one was particularly bad across the series, although all are poor. The lead H at the start is 28, just finishing his residency as a doctor specialising in psychiatric sexual disfunction of all types. He talks about having to look at potentially selling him main home when he starts his career to afford looking after himself and the lead h due to his medical bills, yet just 3 years later he is getting man of the year in a new town he only moved to 3 years previously and lives in a mansion and runs some kind of horse stud farm. From the lead h perspective, she is 19 and gets into a bad situation having no money, being diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes and ends up having to strip at a strip joint. That part wasn't my problem, things like this happen all the time. The strip joint owner keeps her captive and is eventually going to sell her body and force her to do tricks, again these things can happen. However, within about a week she has had her first strip dance, been videotaped and uploaded to YouTube and is so popular that at a local grocery store in another town she is recognised by the female store owner. Really?

Not worth the read unless, like me, you had accidentally paid for the book and wanted to get at least something out of your efforts.

It was so-so. I've read all the books in this series so far, and I'm a little disappointed in the characters. They are cookie cutters - the men are all big, strong, and sensitive. The women are all petite with perfect bodies and virgins (really? ALL OF THEM????). I wish for some more variety in character development....

In this book particularly, I'm very bothered by the lack of fact-checking regarding diabetes. If you give insulin to someone with low blood sugar, you will very likely KILL THEM. Insulin lowers blood sugar; it does not raise it. People with diabetes have hyperglycemia with episodes of hypoglycemia. While I can get past the unbelievable scenario of hiding insulin in the floorboards and obtaining insulin by calling a doctor without an exam, I cannot get past giving insulin to someone with a blood sugar of 65. If you are going to write about a disease, PLEASE GET IT CLOSE TO BELIEVABLE. (This really detracted from the storyline for me......)

Lucas met Dandi when she is literally in his lap. He figures out she is in trouble. They spend time together and then she is gone.
Dandi finds herself in trouble when she tries to run from her job. She doesn't want to leave Lucas though. When she wakes up, most of her memories are gone.
Lucas has found her. He finds out she lost a lot of her memory but he will win her back.

Finding Dandi by Sable freakin' Hunter

Lucas and Dandi (a.k.a. Angel Baby)

LOVE THAT LITTLE MIDGET, SHORT STUFF, & SQUIRT

Ok I could be a little bias when it comes to reviewing this book only cause I'M IN THIS FREAKIN' BOOK!!!! I'm a side character and wowza Sable, I can't believe you actually portrayed me and my family and background to a tee!! "She could cuss like a sailor if the cause warranted." Brought tears to my eyes!!! You are truly my inspiration! On a side note... I hope my date with Rick went well... wink wink!!!

Ok, here goes the assessment... Finding Dandi is unlike any other book Sable has ever written. It packs so much punch into 275 (Kindle Version) pages. My Heart was aching, soaring, and hopeful throughout this entire book. It does deal with plenty of dark and dank subjects, however our hero and heroine are the best ones to take on that job! What a long, heartbreaking journey to be on, I can't even imagine being on it. There were so many emotions going though me I could hardly contain myself! Sorrow, joy, anxiety, and of course a ton of sexual tension. That last one my husband thanks you for... LOL! I WAS SEDUCED WITH PICTURES OF WILDLIFE AND ANCIENT ARTIFACTS! LOL! So glad I finally got the opportunity to read this one and lock it in my memory bank for the rest of time!

Lucas (Dr. Lucas Dane Wagner) can be my sex therapist anytime! Hubba hubba! Although that may sound all hot and steamy, he really is a brilliant doctor. He has a genuine caring feel about him. You could tell right away when he met Dandi that he was going to melt your heart and dampen your panties all at that same time. A Great friend, a caring doctor, and let's not forget... an outstanding partner (in and out of the bedroom). "Her Viking. Her Hero. Her Beloved. He's one of my all time favorite heroes and he will forever hold a special place in my heart. Now Dandi, well, she's certainly earned another special place in my heart. She's everything you think you need and much more! Reminds me of a girl I once knew; soft on the inside until someone or something hardened her, beautiful and innocent, and above all kind-hearted and strong willed! She's a character I could entirely and wholly relate to AND she totally calls her vah jay jay a hoo hoo.... LOL... Glad to see Sable included some of those luscious and lickable McCoys. Although I'm a even more antsy about what's going on with our sweet Aron!

This book was utterly graceful to read. The writing style flowed with so much emotion that I fear I may have lost a piece of me in it! Which is ok, by the way. If it were going to happen, I'm glad it was a Sable Hunter book! You will not believe how many times I was clutching my heart and gasping with so much mayhem put into the mix, my poor husband had to force me to put it down and walk away for a bit! TEMPTED & TANTALIZED - ENTICED & SEDUCED So many highs and lows in this book that I felt like I just got off the worlds largest roller coaster. Hmmmm... yeah, yeah, the Angel Baby roller coaster! Thank you, thank you Sable Hunter from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to a small part of this beautiful work of art! If it ever comes out on paperback, you can bet I'm gonna track you down to have you place your "John Hancock" on it!!!! ((((HUGS)))

5 stars since 10 isn't an option!

Lucas Wagner has had his life mapped out for a while and has worked hard to get where is today. As a leading Dr. in his field, his final quest is just around the corner and he will have everything that he’s ever hope and dreamed for. That was before he met Dandi though. He like hundreds of thousand others had seen the UTube video that went viral called Angel Baby dancing. That video didn’t do her justice though and the first time that he saw her, he fell hard and would do anything for her. Him a Dr. would do anything for a stripper that took his breath away from the moment he saw her.

No matter what Dandi LeBlanc did her life just kept getting worse and worse. Having left home and no family to help her she was doing all that she could to keep her head above water. When recent health issues caused her to need more money she took a job as a waitress at a local strip club but when a song came on that she couldn’t resist dancing to, it lead her into a life that she wanted no part of. Now being held against her consent with no contact with anyone that can help her she is living in a hell that she can’t find a way out of. The moment that she sees Lucas though, she knows that he’s her way out if she can only convince him to take her with him.

I bought this book a couple of weeks back when I saw that it was free for a limited time on Amazon knowing that it was book was book 9 in the series. I looked at some of the other reviews and at the time, the ones that I read didn’t mention that it was tied in so closely with the other books. While during most of the book it didn’t bother me, I was lost once Dandi and Lucas was reunited and her family and new friends came into play. That was when you found out about all of the ties and was somewhat lost. I still enjoyed it but I have no doubt that I would have enjoyed it more if I knew all of the people that were mentioned. With that in mind, I highly suggest that you start at the beginning. I have so many books on to be read list that I have already bought but there were certain things that were mentioned with the characters from the other books and I have to admit that I am intrigued by their stories so I will more than likely be purchasing all of them in the near future.

Sable Hunter is just amazing. Her work always makes me swoon.

Dandi didn't grow up in a messed up home. Her life got ruined after her moms death. She ended up working at a strip club as a waitress. She danced while filling up salt shakers and her boss caught her and blackmailed her to dance. While she was dancing she saw a man. She knew he was good. After her performance she set out to find him to ask for his help to escape the hell she was in. Oh she got out with him. They stood at his cabin. There they fell in love. But something happened and she ran.

Lucas is a sex doctor. A sexy one at that. While attending his friends bachelor party he witness the sexiest woman dance. He knew he wanted her. While in the club something went down and he went in search for Angel Baby to get her out of there. He couldn't find her. While driving her heard a whimper and saw that she was sleeping in his car. He was thrilled. He took her to his cabin. There he learned on how innocent she really was. He loved her. But she had left. In search for her he found out that she was related to a friend of his. He just didn't know cause her last name was different. He learned she lost her memory of the time they knew each other and the months she worked at the strip club. He had to make her fall in love with him all over. But once she got her memory back they were in more love then before.

I have heard stories of this happening. A woman who feels they have no choice but to work in a strip club, and in the background she is forced to sleep around. But I am glad Dandi got out in time and she fell in love. Sable did a wonderful job with giving Dandi her happy ever after.

I fell in love with Sable Hunter’s writing when I read the first book in her Hell Yeah! Series, and I’m addicted. Her stories are filled with emotion, passion and intrigue and “Finding Dandi” is no exception. We first met Dandi and Dane (Lucas) in “Burning Love”, and who knew that together they had their own story to tell. Dandi and Lucas come from very different backgrounds, yet they are brought together through some very interesting circumstances and that’s only the beginning. Somehow they overcome the differences and find the love they want and need in each other. Unfortunately, assumptions and events beyond their control interrupt their lives, leaving Dandi with no memory of their time and Lucas finding his way alone. Will fate step in and bring them back together or will time keep them apart? That, you must learn by reading this fabulous story. Sable Hunter’s style is like no other and somehow she has you falling in love with each set of characters she introduces. Her gift for intertwining characters from other stories/series is one I also enjoy ~ her way of letting the reader know there is much more to come. Sable, thank you for another MUST read from the Cajun Style series!

Your life can change in an instant. Dandi, a young woman with a dream of becoming an archaeologist was thrown a curve ball and her life took off into another direction. Alone, she is forced into taking a waitressing job to help pay for the insulin she needs. Before she knows it, out of necessity, she is forced into a life she never planned on being a part of. Dandi’s story is heartbreaking and emotional because you know her circumstances are real – you hear about it all the time in the news. How young girls are forced into a life they never wanted and the men who take advantage of their situations. Dandi knows she has one chance of getting out and if she doesn’t take it, she will lose herself forever.

Lucas has his professional life planned out. He knows where he’s going and will do nothing to jeopardize his future. That is until he sees Angel Baby dance. She takes his breath away. He knows she doesn’t belong at the club and wants to protect and help her. Is it love at first sight? Has he found his soul mate? An unfortunate accident separates them for 3 years. Can she be truly loved unconditionally? You will get caught up in their romance and you will love this story right from the beginning!

Sable Hunter - Finding Dandi (Hell Yeah! - Book 9)

I have enjoyed all previous installments, this one may not be my favorite, however, it is enjoyable when Lucas and Dandi find each other again.

Dandi and Lucas love each other, but when Dandi hears “only part” of a conversation and didn’t stick around to hear it all, she runs away. In doing so, she was in an accident while traveling on a bus and loses her memory. And, she is pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is. It takes 3 years before Lucas runs into Dandi and finds out that he is a father. Now they need to move forward and not waste any more time than has already been lost. Find out if they can pick up the pieces and have a second chance.

What didn’t work for me?
A) I believe that the author could have done better research on the medical side of this story. With family members with the same problem, it is not an accurate description. For those that don’t know any better, it really doesn’t matter.
B) Dandi was less than mature with her action of running away. Perhaps Lucas should consider that before he says “I DO”.

Another fabulous love story by Sable Hunter. This is the third story in the Cajun series but in order to fully enjoy all the characters you meet, you must start from the beginning with Cowboy Heat (Hell Yeah!).

Sable has written a very sensual story about Dandi LeBlanc (Beau's cousin) and Lucas Wagner (Harley's therapist) and their journey to be with each other. Sable writes with so much emotion, you feel like you've known them all your life. She keeps you wanting more and intertwining a little mystery with this Cajun series that you want to pull your hair out because you want to see a happy ending. You are rooting and praying for a safe return. That's all I'll say about that. Don't want to spoil the story for you.

Dandi's story is heartbreaking and Lucas is looking for someone that doesn't exist. When their paths cross, their souls immediately recognize each other as soul mates. You will love this story from beginning to end. You'll experience all the emotions love has to offer including heartbreak. Run out and get your copy today. You will thank me later.
