And the smallest apartment ever for “just friends” to share…
The last single man standing, Sullivan O’Toole is determined to remain that way while raising his son. Until his apartment has smoke damage and he’s forced into a short-term rental with Edwina “Eddie” Hunt, whose nose he accidentally broke during a hockey pickup game when they were kids.
Eddie is no longer a tomboy. Eddie is drop-dead gorgeous, back in Beaver Bend visiting, and the one woman who can make him change his mind about being a permanent bachelor…
Except for three small problems.
Eddie lives in New York City and has a thriving business there.
Eddie isn’t single.
Sullivan still hasn’t forgiven himself for his wife’s death four years earlier.
So maybe three big problems.
Yet for the first time in forever both are laughing and having fun again, and every heartfelt conversation the old friends have feels like a hefty nudge from fate. Throw in undeniable chemistry that they can’t act on and they’re left wondering what they actually want out of life.
Can they listen to the signs and find a different future… together?

I am sad to see this series end. This was one of my most favorite series. I enjoyed every one of the books, this one was not exactly what I was expecting. I guess maybe I had high expectations for this book and it didn't deliver. However, it was still really good and I thoroughly enjoyed Sullivan and Eddie's love story.
Eddie comes back to help her dad after he breaks his foot. But she doesn't look the same as she did when she left when she was a teenager. She became a sexy run way model and started her own successful company.
Sullivan is a single father and has a precocious little boy who is his whole world. However his world gets turned upside down when he has a house fire. He ends up renting the apartment from Eddie's father, however she is staying there. It becomes a bit of a ordeal but they work it all out.
There are tons of sparks and flames growing between Eddie and Sully. How long can they hold off from each other? Since Eddie is in a relationship after all back in New York.
I loved their story but like I said, it was missing something, what, I don't know, but it was a good ending to a series.
Beaver Bend, Minnesota…saying their meeting was unconventional is a vast understatement. His house burnt down as the result of poor safety during sex. His hookup’s knickers had gone up in flames when tossed over a lit candle in the heat of the moment, rendering him homeless.
Edwina left Beaver Bend at thirteen following her parents’ divorce, moving to NYC with her mother and hadn’t spent much time with her father since then.
Sullivan O’Toole was insanely gorgeous, charming, and the man responsible for breaking her nose in the sixth grade with a high stick that had gotten him ejected from a hockey tournament game. Self-assured, flippant, and determined to break some kind of world record for one-night stands.
In grade school, she’d had a gigantic crush on him and he’d seen her as nothing more than a tomboy, another hockey teammate.
We've got the story we've all been waiting for. Striped Bare reads well on its own while bringing a wonderful ending to a series we've loved over the years. We've all hoped for the happy ending for Sullivan, and we get it in this titillating piece!
