Those in deepest darkness fight most valiantly for the light.

Hard pressed on every side, the Dibor struggle to overcome insurmountable odds in an effort not just to regain territory, but to survive. In addition to the growing ranks of the taken, Morgui has summoned the powers of nature to search out and destroy the saviors of Dionia.

Tempests hunt those forced to flee by sea, while an otherworldly fire storm chews up the ancient forest of Grandath, destroying anything, or anyone, in its path.

While most of the Dibor manage to survive, the whereabouts of the ill-fated Princess Anorra continues to be unknown. Her faithful friends are unaware of her suffering behind the gates of Haides. The remaining Dibor soon discover that there is more to Morgui's madness than simple mayhem, as the dwarves reveal startling knowledge about the Two Trees, and worse still, about Morgui's attempt to forever thwart the Most High's plan for victory.

As Creation itself endures death throes caused by mounting evil, one thing is Dionia and her champions will never be as they once were. Nor will those in worlds beyond.

I read the first two books in this series in high school. They were way better then. The third book is kind of exhausting. I mean, I know they are in the middle of a world-defining war, but I needed a break from the battle scenes.

An end to a fantastic world, one that I hold near my heart, along with the characters that live in the pages.

The third book in The White Lion Chronicles picks up where the second leaves off (it left off on a huge cliffhanger if you don’t remember) and jumps right back into the battle and the situations the characters are in.

Almost the entire book is written in war and battle. Personally, I’m not a fan of the battle scenes and think they can be super tiring, especially when it seems never ending. That’s one of the reasons it took me so long to finish it (and that I had already read it once before). However, I was able to push through, because the scenes were so well written and I was truly able to see the war play out in my mind.

Another reason I took so long to read was because of what happens to a certain character. The first time I read it, my heart ached for months, and still did whenever I thought about it afterward. While reading the first two books, those thoughts were still in my mind, and I was dreading this book because of it. Thankfully, though I am still sad, I can find peace in it and understand that it is not forever.

The ending of this final installment in the series brought more peace to my soul. Battle after battle raged, with me right there amongst Luik and The Dibor. It was heartwarming to have a conclusion that was healing for everyone, including me.

Christopher Hopper, thank you for letting God work through you and telling the story He put on your heart. I have loved reading The White Lion Chronicles for the second time, and most likely will do so again in the future.

Athera's Dawn was phenomenal! The best of The White Lion Chronicles has finally made it to the hands of it's readers after a 5 year long wait since The Lion Vrie. We are reunited with our heroes we love so much, Where they face annihilation. Morgui is ready to release his plan, to kill The Most High's Son. But meanwhile will Luik and the Dibor return from Kirstell? Will Anondo and his men live to survive a horrible hurricane that seems to be hunting them? will Thad and Thero survive? Will Mt. Dakka still be standing when they return? And the worst of all what will become of the mortally wounded Princess Anorra, who has been taken prisoner, and her friends know little of her where a bouts and her suffering in Haides. This series was the best I've ever read, the stories were written very well and the Characters were seamless, Where modern age Tolkien meets Lewis in this grand finale of The White Lion Chronicles. This book in particular had me crying, cringing, shouting, and cheering. It felt like the story was so real I went on the journey with Luik, and struggled with him and the rest of the Dibor in their countless battles, I felt the pain of Anorra's suffering and frustrations in Haides. I went to war with these wonderful characters as well as I went to war with myself, and I came out victorious on both battle fields. All Thanks to the Savior who gave it all to save us all.
A Must Read Series.

This is the third book of The White Lion Chronicles which continues the battle for Dionia. But those expecting a fast resolve should armor themselves with patience. Resolve is at the very end of the book and what an end it is. In a word unpredictable. It's worth reading the whole book just for it. So much lessons I've learned in the Chronicles trilogy, that I'm grateful to the author for writing it.

As a side note, somehow I missed the presence of Grinddr and his men in the last battle. And may be the end would have been even greater if the very last sentence for the cold dinner was missing (not so royal for a king's family).

Athera's Dawn so magnificently concluded the trilogy with the victory of the White Lion and the people of Dionia. I have loved these books as they point to the creator and savior of mankind. In the midst of overwhelming loss and chaos, there is still hope to be found in Christ (portrayed by the White Lion).

Battles. Faith. Love. Overcoming evil. These are what make for an epic tale. The White Lion Trilogy has been just that. Fantastic series!

Excellent story, high adventure. This book is awe-inspiring, but not for the faint of heart. Very intense and somewhat graphic. We will miss Luik and the Dibor. I am sorry to say good bye to our heroes. Truly loved this trilogy.

The ride is finally over. And what an inspiring ride it was. Athera's Dawn was definitely the best of the series, more fast paced and epic than I had hoped. Thank you Hopper for writing such a clean and compelling read.

This whole trilogy is so awesome!!!! It is easily on my top five favorite trilogies. It is refreshing to read a book with the same and only worldview that I believe to be correct. The biblical worldview.
