Conner Kent is captured by the young space-adventuring team the Cosmoteers! On a mission to stop Dominator X, these former experiments believe Superboy is just another weapon created by the cloning mad scientist. It’ll take all of Conner’s charm to convince them he’s one of the good guys, or it’s lights out for Superboy!
So far this series has been a very fun independent adventure for Connor Kent. His internal monologues throughout are great; I haven’t read many Superboy stories but he’s really growing on me quickly as a character.
I think some of the other character designs could be stronger but overall this issue was very entertaining and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Connor encounters a team of super powered individuals who have their own idea of what it means to "Help the galaxy". A clash of fists and ideals.
The art, writing and action remain stellar for this issue and i really enjoy how we continue to see what Connor is made of both physically and mentally. With no friends or devices to aid him he has to rely on his morals, his wit, and his ingenuity to ultimately save others and himself. This lends to the true sense of adventure that many of people can relate to craving at some point in our lives.
The art continues to carry a series that focuses on plot concepts that don't really interest me. The decision to take Superboy off earth wasn't a good one, and the villains aren't memorable enough or the scenarios.
I've already read issues #3 and #4 and it hasn't improved much.
Ultimately, I'll collect the entire run to support the character in hopes DC uses Superboy in a more appealing way in the future.
It is ok. I am not sure it brings something required to the on-going Super Family titles (and there are a bunch of it with Superman, Action Comics and its 2 backup stories, Jon Kent and Steel) but it is not a bad title so far (which I was afraid of, given how awfully bad was the Young Justice mini-serie tie-in to Dark Crisis).
It was an okay story. Conner is starting to come into his own. The second story though. Why combine Reverse Flash with Parallex? That’s just stupid because they don’t fit with each other. Is it because they’re both yellow?
Not as strong as first issue but still fun. Superboy's characterization is great. And I also love the art. Not sure how I feel about the supporting cast yet.
Esta dualidad de heroe bueno vs heroes edgys es entretenida pero le falta mas desarrollo a los personajes y a la historia para ser buena. Sin dudas se siente un bajón del primer número a este.
