I was so excited to read this book, but it really didn’t live up to what I was expecting. It’s listed as enemies to lovers, however the 2 MC’s don’t actually get together until 90%. When the story starts Arina is 18, Konstantin late 20’s, they’re arranged to be married when she turns 21. In Chapter 3, she turns 21, has watched Konstantin parade countless women around in front of her and to family functions, and she has a boyfriend. That boyfriend is killed by Konstantin and after that she convinces her mom and stepdad to let her leave the country and be on her own (that was so eye rolling because that’d never happen). So from chapter 4 to about the 75% mark there’s no interactions between these two. None. She’s “dancing” and planning her pitiful revenge against him, and he’s sleeping his way through women. After he finds out she’s about to be sold at an auction he wants to save her, along with 2 other women. Once she’s saved from being sold and taken to Konstantins boat, he continues to use one of the other women to make her jealous! Even knowing she’s been beaten and been thrown hell. His actions were inexcusable.
There was zero chemistry between them because there was no interactions. I liked the story’s plot and felt it could’ve had so much more potential had the MMC not been a total pig and written with so many other women, there were more scenes with him and other women than there were with him and Arina. I wanted to see them together by at least 55%, and him not parade around with other women.

Arina aveva una vita perfetta, fatta di scuola amicizie e danza, almeno fino a che non è stata rapita. Da quel rapimento tutto è cambiato ma la cosa che l’ha sconvolta di più è stato il matrimonio della madre con l’uomo che ha ordinato questo rapimento. Lei quei giorni vorrebbe dimenticarli e con loro l’uomo che era con lei, il cugino del nuovo marito della madre. E ora sua madre si aspetta pure che lei sposi questo mostro?
Kostantin non sa che farsene di una bambina come Arina e di certo non se la vuole sposare. Riesce a prendere tempo fino ai 21 anni della ragazza, ma non poteva sapere che lei crescendo sarebbe diventata una gran bella donna.
Arina nella vita mafiosa di questo uomo non ha intenzione di entrarci ed è per questo che se ne va. Ma non può farsi una vita lontano se prima non chiude con l’uomo che lei odia di più al mondo, l’uomo che l’ha tenuta prigioniera per anni e che le ha rovinato il rapporto con il suo fidanzato, l’uomo che secondo sua mamma lei dovrebbe sposare.
Questa sua voglia di vendetta la metterà in guai seri e Kostantin farà di tutto per salvarla perché si lui non vuole sposarla ma ciò che è suo non deve essere toccato!

Terzo capitolo della serie, fino ad ora quello che mi è piaciuto di meno, solo perché ci si concentra di più sull’aspetto generale e sulla mafia piuttosto che sulla coppia in sé. Merita comunque le 4⭐️ perché lo stile di scrittura mi piace molto.

I loved it!!! Very exciting. Never boring. Arina is eighteen and Konstantin late twenties in the beginning of the story. Arina is somewhat of a brat but a nice brat. She thinks she is in love but her boyfriend is a demon in disguise. Konstantin was given no choice but to be engaged to Arina. She was promised to him to wed when she turned twenty-one. There was this hard angry tension between Konstantin and Arina. They both did not see it as f0repl@y but that's what it was. Konstantin did not want to marry her and Arina felt rejected and disrespected. She turned against Konstantin. That led her to do things that ended up putting her in so much danger just so that she could get vengeance. Arina truly was blinded to her reality. At the end she finally saw the light and then BOOM her actions came back to bite her and Konstantin in the @$$. F.Y.I. cliffhanger at the end. I so look forward to the next book. A really good book. I highly recommend it.

Vicious Lover by Celeste Riley is the gut-wrenching story of Konstantin and Arina. Arina is a ballerina…but, a ballerina with means. Her father decides she is to be married to Konstantin, but she has other plans. Plans that go awry.

The writing is excellent, the story completely engrossing, the characters captivating!! I was completely engulfed in this story and the characters!!! However, the ending seemed rushed and abrupt. I felt like I was left hanging a bit. The changes in feelings of hatred to love felt forced, hurried, and left me wanting to understand the complex feelings that should have been there. If not for this, the story would be perfect!

When Arina fathers debt put her in the path of danger she's taken in order to get her mother to comply, it back fires when her mother takes the mob boss captive (book 1). A deal is struck to keep her safe and that's to marry her own captor Konstantin but she wont folownorders that easy  when trouble comes will Konstantin be able to keep her safe? Despite what he has done could love ever be in their future? Well written the story is engaging, characters develope well and draw you in. With steamy scenes violence and drama The ending could possibly lead for more to come??

Is there hope for a HEA for Konstantin & Arina?

Celeste Riley you have done an outstanding job with Konstantin & Arina's story. The reader is taken on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride that is both sensual & dark. Emotions run high & strong. She hates him & he is of similar mind but that doesn't stop the want. A definite 5 star read.

This is a great book and a new author to me. The characters are in twined from the time he kidnapped her till they finally figure out that they love each other. They have highs and lows and enemies. The jealousy of both is entertaining because it causes them to do things that they both would not normally do. It causes trouble and a slight case of chaos, but in the end they work it out and prove that they are together for the long haul.

This story is filled with thrilling action-packed drama that kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. Konstantin and Arina start off with dislike between them and it build up as the story moves on. Will their dislikes turn into a happily ever after for them given how it starts off between them.
