Intern by day, lingerie waitress by night and full time virgin. Rosie has been dragged in to her older brothers drama which has led to her working nights as a lingerie waitress at the vanilla club, a club for high profile businessmen. One night she is inappropriately groped by one of the patrons and on reflex Rosie threw a drink all over his very expensive suit. Unfortunately Rosie ran in to him again a few days later at the orientation for her internship - and even more unfortunately, he instantly recognised her.
This was a fun, fast paced read. It was interesting to see both of their secrets come out slowly and the development of their feelings for each other.

This book is edgy, and sexy and I could not put it down, was a page turner for me and I enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to more books in this series.

Not big on the age gap trope but I loved how much the two MCs irritated the heck out of each other. We love a strong intelligent female and a grumpy billionaire. I hated all of the breaking up though.

I received an ARC from Missy Walker. This is Book 1 of her new series about the Slater siblings and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has a bit of everything in it - loads of chemistry between the characters, humour, angst, vengeance, BDSM play and a great storyline. The main characters meet in a club where Rosie is working as a lingerie waitress and Vincent is there entertaining clients. Rosie has an altercation with Vincent and imagine her surprise when she sees him the next day at her new interning job with his company. Dominant, alpha Vincent goes out of his way to pick on her but she is a fiery, determined young lady and instead he starts to fall for her. The build up in their relationship progresses quite quickly and Vincent is her first lover. He has a lot of emotional baggage and is thirsty for revenge and she has issues with her brother. Vincent is planning on returning back to London after the two month internship programme has been completed and neither is looking for more than a fling. However love inevitably catches them out and they both fall deeply for one another. This story is told amazingly well and there is such depth of character. Rosie is an admirable person and is a perfect complement to the very flawed Vincent. There is a lot of swearing and erotic sex, this is a very steamy read. It is a well written novel and I was kept immersed in their story from the first till the last page. The book also has a bonus extra chapter that is downloadable upon subscribing to Ms Walker's newsletter. I look forward to the next book in this series and rate it 4.5*.

Hungry Heart by Missy Walker is an office romance. I loved the way Missy Walker was able to introduce Vincent and Rosie as being opposites. Vincent is a member of a prosperous business empire and social status. At the same time, Rosie is a college senior who was assigned to be a business intern for Vincent’s company as well as employed as a lingerie-dressed waitress for a gentlemen’s club named the Vanilla Club. Rosie and Vincent have a memorable first encounter inside the VC. It was a surprise for each to see the other the next day at the company intern meeting. The story familiarized the reader with hints of what was to come by, stating that Vincent had unique tastes regarding his sexual encounters.
On the other hand, Rosie was a true innocent who had not developed sexual flavors or passions. Instead of stating that the overall theme would be BDSM (not a trope I enjoy reading), but allowed the characters to experiment and find out what each enjoyed. Because of how Missy Walker handled the sexy scenes, I enjoyed the book thoroughly. If BDSM is a trigger for the reader, I don’t recommend reading the bonus scene that one can download. There are many types of readers with a myriad of individual tastes. Missy Walker drew me into a less favored trope, and I still enjoyed reading her story. That is a masterful writer.

This is my first time reading a Missy Walker book and I really enjoyed it. Rosie is a firecracker and so independent I loved her instantly. It took a while for me to like Vincent but one Rosie started softening him up and making him happy I feel in love with him too. Rosie is a lingerie waitress at a club where Vincent is having drinks with clients. Right away they irritate each other and after a misunderstanding Rosie throws a drink in Vincent's face. While working at the club and going to school Rosie is also going to start an internship. It's the first day of the intern program and who walks in, none other then Vincent and he's set to be her boss. They become infatuated with one another and pretty soon they can't stop thinking about one another and they stop fighting the urge to avoid each other. But Rosie has a secret she's afraid to tell him. Well 2 really, one personal and the other is the truthful answer to why she's actually working as a waitress. The last quarter of the book kept me on the edge of my seat while also breaking my heart in two. I can't wait to read Julius’ book!!

Vincent slaters life was changed at age 7 when his brother Edward was killed. His life mission since he was old enough to search for the real story to the hit that happened that day. He has been ruthless and successful in business. Hadn’t had a close relationship ship with any woman because of what he requires to satisfy him. He is close to his remaining brother and sister and mom but not his father. His life changed the night he meets Rosie
Rosie is going to school and soon to Also do internship. But her brother had hit her involved in a dangerous loan so she is also working as a lingerie model at an exclusive club. Her mom is dead and father a drunk so brother is all the family she has. She catches Vincent’s eye this night. When she thinks he is the one to grab her and gets a drink thrown on him. Almost cost her the internship since he is the one doing the training for the trainees of all the firms it’s had to be his. He makes things harder for her. But can’t fight the attraction. Between them but with both having commitment issues plus family problems can they make it work between them. I received an arc plus own the book. This is my honest review

I had the honour of getting my hands on this book early.
This book…I do not know where to start, there is a lot to unpack in this book.
This book follows the story of Vincent Slater and Rosie West… a beautiful deadly love story about a ruthless CEO out for vengeance and a barley managing intern at his company who also works as a lingerie waitress to earn extra money (which will become clear why she does this as you read this book).
The way this book flows following them both through their struggles and their path to admitting their love for each other (which does not come easy to them both at first).
This is an action packed, heart tugging, suspension filled and erotic romance book…and I loved every single part of it.
I do not want to ruin this book for anybody so I will leave it there but 100% when this comes out on May 27th I suggest getting a copy and giving it a read, you will not regret it.

Vincent is a grumpy, dominant, ruthless, alpha billionaire CEO. Rosie is young, intelligent, independent, strong. The two of them meet whilst Rosie is a lingerie waitress and she believes that Vincent has touched her (against club rules), so she retaliates.
Unbeknown to Rosie when she interviews for a internship, that the CEO of the company is Vincent. This was a fun read that moved quickly. I was immersed in the story right from the start. Both of these characters have baggage which only adds to the story.
I really enjoyed the good chemistry between both characters and the spice level was significant.
For me this was a 4⭐️ read with a 3🌶️ rating.
I look forward to the next instalment in this series.

I received an ARC from Missy Walker. This is Book 1 of her new series about the Slater siblings and I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though it is not my typical book preference.
Rosie is the FMC who is a student and works in as a lingerie waitress. She loves reading romance novels and is a virgin. Rosie meets the MMC, the grumpy billionaire Vincent at the club when they have an altercation. Of course, imagine her surprise when she sees him the next day at her new interning job with his company.
She is smart, strong and sassy. He is dominant, grumpy and only in town to seek vengeance.
This story has spice, sass, revenge, and is a dang good read. Thank you Missy Walker for the ARC, I truly enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to reading the next books in this series.

This was an arc read! Release day is today!
I keep saying, if I did not have finals I would have devoured this in a day or two. Every time Started reading more about Rosie and Vincent I could not stop. She is an intern during the day and a lingerie waitress at night. To the guest in the VC, she seems like she knows what she's doing but she is a virgin outside of work.
The story is great, I would say it is a bit of a slow burn but since the tension throughout the book is so high it turns into a fast burn really quickly. He has a past and wants vengeance but by needing vengeance for all of his life, he forgets that something else could bring him peace and happiness. Go get your hand on a copy today! 🦋

Receiving this ARC from Missy was an absolute pleasure, so thankyou first of all for allowing me to read this prior to its official release. Rosie and Vin ... where do I start? The character development in this book, had me playing right into Vins dominant hand. His harsh exterior made for enticing interactions as he explored Rosie's newly submissive side. Vins' vengeance and search for retribution made for a suspenseful side of this book. The writing in this book was such a joy to read, easy to binge, and has me wanting to read more about the Slaters.

Not only do we get a little kink play but the story is so much more than that and i loved how Missy had not only the love and how they met but we also get some mafia action which has you on the edge of your seat! I would give this 10/10 if i could I’m so excited to read more by missy! I just LOVED her writing style!!

I absolutely chewed through this, basically read it within two sittings! It was sexy and steamy with major 50 shades vibes but 10 times better. I wasn't expecting the underlying mystery plot but god it was so high stakes. I dont typically enjoy the virginity trope but I really enjoyed it in this and felt like it made total sense.
Tell me what is better than a grumpy, dominant and billionaire CEO? When he is absolutely tested by a sexy, strong and intelligent girl! Their dynamic was amazing from the beginning and had my absolutely going feral from the start. I think my only critic would be the 3rd act break up, I feel like it was unnecessary.

So what happens when the man she poured a drink over at the club, ends up being THE Vincent Slater - her new boss and man in charge of the interns at Slater Corp?
I could not pull my eyes away from the pages of this book, I swear I read it in like a day??? Something about the plot just hooked me in - not to mention the spice - crikey! Our man Vincent really is out here putting the dom in dominant.
And hello?! That ending - I was not expecting the turn this book took! It really fed my little romantic suspense reader heart.

I forgot the reason I stopped reading this author's books. She's too wordy and repetitive. Her 300 page books would do better at 150. Her ideas are good but I really can't handle author's that think they need a lot of words to make a good book.
So many inconsistencies that shouldn't have gotten past an editor. The MMC tells FMC to pack a bag because she's spending the week with him but then a couple of days pass and he says he doesn't want her to go to school the next day because he can't wait until Friday to see her. Also the author likes to list every single outfit the FMC wears so when she's wearing leggings but somehow manages to slide just her panties off, we notice lol

Well what can I say about this book. Love it! It was steamy, kind of romantic and loads of drama.
Vincent is searching for a killer and can't be distracted but when he meets Rosie one night when she spills a drink on him it leads to so much more.
Explosive and I enjoyed the dominant personality that was Vincent as he drew out Rosie's submissive side.
There was very much a push pull element to this relationship as Rosie wasn't quite willing to give in initially.
I also enjoyed the mystery and the sub plot as it gave the story layers.
Very well done!!

Explosive and I enjoyed the dominant personality that was Vincent as he drew out Rosie's submissive side.
There was very much a push pull element to this relationship as Rosie wasn't quite willing to give in initially.
I also enjoyed the mystery and the sub plot as it gave the story layers.

Loved it... I don't like to pay for books and rarely if ever do, but this one kept calling to me. So glad I paid as it was worth every penny and I'll def reread it. Between the enemies to lovers, the angst, the hot sex, the whole storyline.. it was a great read. Finished it in 24 hours and couldn't put it down. I also enjoyed that she wasn't too too much younger then him and the V to Dom was a new one I hadn't read before. And I've read hundreds the last 2 years alone. Missy has my $ and I'm set to start the next book asap.

Oh my you have done it again! Vincent is the grumpy businessman that is ruthless and knows just what he wants but at the same time he is clear with the fact that he plans on being a single man and doesn't want anyone. But there she is, the beautiful woman that throws a drink over him.

Absolutely loved this book, Vincent and Rosie are my new favourite couple, their banter was everything! I loved how the story flowed and how much spice their was it was a slow burn to start but once it started it didn’t stop! Going to need to reread this book again as I didn’t want it to be over. This is the fourth book I’ve read of Missy Walker and I have to say I will continue reading her books in the future!!!

I absolutely loved this Grumpy Billionaire romance. Vincent is as ruthless in business as he is in bed and is determined to be single. The Fmc is a strong-willed and determined woman whom the Mc didn't see coming but found just what he needed. This book has it all, love, loss, spice, and plot. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Oh man I loved me some Vincent. That mouth on that man🥵 I love the instant connection he and Rosie had. And how possessive he was from the very beginning 🫠 Rosie was so fierce. She didn’t take anyone’s crap. Vincent was so sweet when it came to Rosie. And that ending was perfect. I couldn’t get enough of it. I can’t wait for Julius’s book!!

Intense, funny, emotional, full on. Just the perfect array of emotions for a good read! It was fab!!! I was dubious starting another series after men of manhattan as was hoping it could live up to it, I blooming well loved it!!!!!!!! The slater brothers are swooooooon!!! Fab story line, thank you once again Missy!

I was in a reading slump but then I read this book and it brought me out of it! I couldn’t put it down! I loved every second of this love story and story line! Missy did AMAZING and I can’t wait for the next one in the series!!

This book was angsty, spicy, & MC was a possessive alphahole. Between Him & Rosie it was definitely grumpy/sunshine vibe. Their attraction & tension was 🔥. First book by this author & I enjoyed it. Definitely would recommend.
