Hey, all! I'm Verity Lucia. I'm a wife, mom to four awesome kids, and a former wayward teen. I was raised in a loving Christian household, but as a teen had too many questions about our faith and not enough answers. So, when I left home at seventeen as a non-practicing Catholic and threw myself into an unhealthy college environment with nothing but my own desires to guide me, the result wasn't pretty.
I was on fire, not for God, but for architecture and chasing my dreams.
Fortunately, God drew me out of the mess I'd made, and I finally saw that His ways were better than mine. I surrendered to His will, and now instead of designing buildings, I write the books that I needed as a teen and young adult.
Books that I pray will touch you as they have touched me.
What started as a project to talk with my daughter about the challenges of living in a broken world, The HIDDEN Series has become a gritty, fast-paced book series featuring authentic teen characters that readers are not likely to forget.
The stories of Clare and her friends will connect with readers of all ages.
Is evil real? How do I find peace after the loss of a loved one? Does my suffering matter? The questions on the character’s hearts are timeless, and you don’t have to be in high school to find value in these stories.
Read them! Share them! Pass them on to those in your life that need them most!
Love and prayers, Verity Lucia

Trigger warnings: Teen pregnancy, Abortion, Suic1de attempts, Sexual Harrasment, homelessness, slight swearing.
This Book is the sequel to "don't fear the unseen" it has a different main character but is still set in the same place and thsi book makes a lot more sense if you read book 1 first.
Elise Thames: Your typical Popular girl sidekick. She comes from a poorer family, and most of her clothes are hand-me-downs-with-strings-attached from popular girl Nikki.
Elise's life was perfect to anyone watching from the outside, Hot Boyfriend, Amazing and Popular best friend, she's even on the cheer team! Until she became pregnant.
I have slight Tokophobia, so that made this book a bit harder to read, but it was still enjoyable, i loved the pro-life message and how Elise found the people who actually cared about her. It also has some supernatural elements to it, which made the book pretty fun to read, (cause i'll be honest, contemporary fiction tends to bore me)
Overall, it's a pretty decent book. The only reason it's rated 3/5 instead of 4/5 is due to all of the darker content that I've already listed. Luckily, it's one of those books where a lot of those darker elements are important to the plot and not just stuck in there to grab reader attention.
I am a 34-year-old female, and had the privilege of meeting the author at a local conference. She told me that this book is better than the first one.
Well, I really, really enjoyed the first one, but she was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I devoured it, and immediately afterwards told my husband how good it was.
Again, the writing immediately sends you into the world of a teenage girl trying to find her place. I was a little worried (before reading it) that the author would fall into the trap of writing every character the same way, but that did not happen!
Elise’s story feels completely different, and her voice is unique… but at the same time, it just fleshes everything out from the first novel in the series in such a compatible format that just works.
Deals with tough issues in a beautiful, sensitive manner that leaves the reader feeling better for having read it. Some gritty (but realistic) content that is perfect for teenage girls!
