For Those Left Behind: Guidance on Death and Grieving

Rate this book
You entered this world with the call to prayer (adhān) being recited over you, but without any prayer (ṣalāh). When you depart from this world, there will be a prayer read over you, but there will be no call to prayer. The contrast between these two epic events has much significance. It is as if to say that the fleeting life which you experience in this world is as short as the duration between the call to prayer and the prayer itself.

This book will take you on the journey that is life after a death.

Oh how I wish I had known/read this book when my mom passed. But never the less even years later this was very helpful to my ongoing grief. Sheikh Omar Suleiman never fails to tug the heartstrings. Most of the points I knew from my own research. Most ppl can prob relate but during that intense time of grief, I watched almost every YouTube video there is about death and life after death in Islam. Lol some call it coping mechanism, I call it covering all my bases.

but I really sincerely am glad there is a book like this out there and recommend to any of my Muslim brothers and sisters to pick this up who is going thru grief. It made things easier to manage and tolerate and lowkey made me tear up numerous amount of times. It gave me hope and comfort even years out. Alhumdulilah for Sheikh and his team at Yaqueen for this treasure of a book!
