"Fated love means nothing when we can avoid extinction. One tiny sacrifice will appease the shadows. It's a shame, really. You've always been my pretty little monster." Those were the last words I heard from my Alpha, my fated mate, before his Beta tossed me off the cliff into a land of no Demon Valley, the place where no human or wolf shifter survives. Legends claim there's an escape from the shadowy, demon-infested haven, but no one has ever returned to confirm the truth. Except me. There's a reason no one comes back from Demon Valley, and when I reach the end of its dark tunnel, I finally understand why. At that grand exit lies a place of rejected salvation. Our Goddess may have blessed me with the ultimate plot for revenge, starting with the Alpha of Nightmare Daemons himself. Malifer Nightshade. A beast of shadows. A seductive master. Creator of this forbidden valley. And the rejected older brother of my Alpha. To gain salvation, one must be tested. For me, that means destroying my bond with the Alpha I expected to spend my life with. After his shattering betrayal, it's the only option, and I won't deny the ultimate truth. I'm angry – broken – and with the help of these very addictive shadows, I’ll show my old pack of deceitful wolves exactly what a pretty little monster I can be.
Pretty Little Demon Valley Pack Collection is a 230,000-word standalone collection that follows Lexianne's journey into the world of shadows, deception, and salvation. Rated 18+.

I don’t even know where to start, the writing style was a confusing mess and I was about to give up every chapter. I had to reread multiple sections to understand what was going on.
Somehow the first 500 pages was some MASSIVE character building, which almost only consisted of the MC’s many thoughts. If there was an edit where 50% of the thoughts was removed, it would without a doubt be better. But not only does the MC have every thought possible, the thoughts and behavior seem to alter between two different characters.
And the number of times this girl has almost died and pulled on some (different every time) ancient power is ridiculous. You only get to pull on the power one time in a book like this, otherwise it is 1) not that impressive, 2) it does not give the MC or the reader a break. There is NO break in this story what so ever, only an endless battle, and not explanations. Like what the fuck is a tainted timekeeper? It’s mentioned multiple times and is never explained. I thought that Lily was somehow a tainted timekeeper because in the first chapters Malifer gets the the word that she convinced a tainted timekeeper to give her power instead of feeding on her, and the one that gave her power was Lily, but she is somehow just an old demon with a lot of power, but never uses it???? What? And I still don’t understand why the fuck Nathan threw her over the cliff? What was the purpose? And why had everyone lied about her age? There is to many questions, basic questions, without answers in this book, and that is not in a good way.
But all of that is still not the worst part of the book. The first 500 pages, and 8 hours of character building and so MANY thoughts are downright irrelevant, because in the last 5 pages it is revealed that it was all a play. Lexi is not as anxious and this little girl that have been bullied, no she is a Russian mafia wolf? And Malifer is actually Nathan? Like if he was Nathan, then he should know who Lexi was by name and he should know her because it was only 5 years ago he was thrown off the cliff by Nathan? And if Nathan knew that Malifer was alive (which he had to know if there apparently some the mafia stuff) then wouldn’t he know that he was given him his fated mate? And who the fuck is Laura and how can she be Malifers fated mate if he is really Nathan and therefor should be Lexi’s fated mate?
There is SO MUCH going on and that really fucks up the story. It feels like there is two storylines intertwined in this book. I think the authors should take a step back, and consider not including so many things. It would have been fine with just the rejection of the three challenges to get into the shadow pack, but all that extra stuff? That should really be in another story that only focuses on that, so this book could have focused on the magic of the trials and the newly fated mate link that was given by the moon goddess. It was to much and the author is the only one how can follow in this universe.

I read the complete trilogy on KU because I hate waiting for the next book. The first book was a tough, frustrating read. The world of the Shadow Valley, the Magnificent Astra, and the nuances of rejection made this a slow go. I had to put this down numerous times, and reread a bunch. The saving grace was the characters, I loved Malifer, the voodoo dolls, Momo, the familiars, the twins, Colton, and sometimes Lexi. She was the hardest to understand. First she's this tough cookie, then it's her wolf, then Lily, then her Magnificent Astra, then she is hiding stuff, ugh, annoying! The fact that I like this author is the only reason I didn't dump this story after the first book.
This is my kind of story! Darkness and chaos. A badass female who knows what she wants and plays the long game to get it. The perfect male to stand by her side. Who could ever ask for more!?!
