I was given a copy by the author for an honest review.

This book is about Samantha who meets and starts representing a client named Ryan. She feels a chemistry but thinks it is in her head until she sees him again. When she asks him out to celebrate a mini-victory, the two combust.

After a night of fun Samantha begins to realize she made a huge mistake because she broke ethics rules and can be disbarred. The two have words and stop seeing each other. When Samantha is thinking no one will discover her mistake of judgement, everything comes crashing down.
The story is pretty straight and narrow. You can kinda of see what is going to happen until the last chapters of the book when we get a little twist thrown in. I was like WHOOO DIDN’T SEE THAT.

I liked the story and it has an easy flow about it. If you are fan of her rockers but want to try something different, give it a try.

I enjoyed this story. How they met and fell for each other was so wrong. Their connection was so strong, they had to decide if it was worth risking everything for. I thought it was a creative story and I just loved the interaction between Samantha and Ryan. Original story with an ending I thought was so right.

One Night Stand is Not Enough

Samantha has always like bad boys, but there is something else about Ryan that draws her to him and she can not let it go even if it means crossing the line and costing her her job as a lawyer. Ryan is leery of starting anything with Samantha as they are from different sides of the track. He is probably just a toy to her that she will soon get tired of. This is a sweet steamy romance with drama and twists to that keep one intrigued throughout. Did not want to put it down till I was done.
I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.

Sam and Ryan

What a beautiful story! Some hot sex, old lovers, and some plot twists. But it makes you believe in love all over again! Read it - it's worth it!

Stating his Case by Jade C Jamison

I purchased this book but shhh don’t tell Jade or she will be mad at me for not asking for a review copy.

I was looking through Jade’s list of books for something different to read when I saw this book. It sounded good so I figured why not.

Series: not applicable
Category /Genre: Contemporary Romance
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Grammar/editing: B – a few small errors
Received from: Jade C. Jamison in exchange for an honest review

This book is not part of a series.

This is one of Ms. Jamison’s earlier releases. Though the plot leans towards the predictable, it is a sweet and steamy love story. Sometimes that is just what I want in my romance, a little sweet predictability. On the other hand, it is not ALL predictable and the last couple of chapters had me holding onto the edge of my seat.

Samantha Paulson is a lawyer and a woman who truly understands herself. She is as likely to call “bullshit” on herself as she is on her clients or the men in her life. I like that about her! Her law partner and best friend, Adam, proves himself to be her best friend in ways that are heart-warming. Ryan is the other-side-of-the-town client for whom she feels such an immediate attraction that she is willing to contemplate setting aside her lawyer-client ethics just for one night with him. She has to decide which is more important – the possibility of attraction leading to love or the career she has built with her partner – not an easy choice no matter your morals.

I love Jade C. Jamison's books and was happy to receive a copy for my honest review. It is a little different than her current books but I really liked it. I love being able to relate to the characters and really liked these. It was sweet--to start. I must admit that I was surprised by the last few chapters, but that was a good thing.

I loved how vulnerable Ryan was even though I thought he would be very confident being a tattooed construction worker. I liked all of the angst that Samantha was going through---a lot of it was all in her head. But of course, it all worked out in the end! It was a very easy, sweet, feel-good read.

Life’s surprises!

Read this book years ago and, while I liked it, it was just ok for me. This couple started fast and then slowed down but ended in a satisfying HEA for Ryan and Samantha.

This has been on my TBR list since reading Bullet, Tangled Web books and a few others by Jade. I am so glad I read it!! It was a sweet story and even though Ryan was a little bit of a "bad boy", he was sweet, thoughtful and sexy! I loved that Jade paired up a professional career woman with a blue collar sexy bad boy! The story worked and I loved it!! A must read 5 Stars!

I usually LOVE all books Jade C. Jamison but I have to say that I was a little disappointed with this one. I think I just really had a hard time with her knowing putting herself in a position to lose her law career. I did enjoy their love story but had a really hard time getting past the way she went about it .

That was the most dragged out book I've read in a long time. Very repetitive...very little going on throughout the whole book.
