A dreamy and delicious love affair with California and hot hotel sex with Poet-Daddy.❤️‍🔥💦. This collection ‘sways’ between the mature, confident sexuality of a woman in her 30’s and the starstruck bubblegum love of teenager looking at the Hollywood sign. It’s a fun rendezvous but tender at its core. As someone who has spent the better part of a decade leaning more toward misandry than love— it woke a warm and fuzzy nostalgia— of being both adored and consumed.

Palms has my entire heart in pieces. I am in awe of what this woman can do with words. Each poem in this collection is like a puzzle piece that seamlessly fits with the others to create a cohesive whole. As I was reading, I felt as though I was on a journey with this goddess poet, exploring the depths of love, sex and human connection. A collection that will stay with me for a long time, and one I'll keep coming back to. Lauren, please never stop writing - never stop breaking my heart.
