I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
What’s a girl to do she has been in love with her best friend for years but he has stuck her in the “friend zone.” Now she is starting to notice his best friend and see him as something more. Will he be the one that makes her forget about the one she loves?
So in the past books I was day dreaming and drooling all over Sean but Jessie stepped up his game and is giving Sean a run for his money in the BBF department. I can see Jade is going to keep me bouncing from guy to guy in this series.
This is about Jessie and Vicki relationship but that is not all. There is a rapist on the streets of this quiet town. There is suspense and twist in this one. I enjoyed Nicki and Jessie’s time together he really cares for her and is afraid she will break his heart. He is caring and concerned for her and her safety as always the first one there in time of trouble. Now Sean made me so angry with him this time around. He was an A$$ didn’t realize what he had until it was gone tried to make a play for it just to see if he could get it even if he didn’t know if he really wanted it. UGH what game are you playing you don’t want it but you try to make it so no one else can either.
I need to start book four ASAP I need to find out what happens in the next Nicki assignment and with her and Jessie.

Book 3 of 11 in A Nicki Sosebee Novel (11 Book Series). I had not read the first two books and was able to keep up, but it would have been better if I had. If strong language and sex bothers you, you will not like this book. It was well written, fast paced and very intense. This is the story of Nicki, a reporter who is following the story of a serial rapist. We follow her as she has some dangerous moments as she pursues this story. A lot of steam with her relationship with Jesse. Thought the ending was a little abrupt, but over all a good story. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Loving this Series
Things are sizzling between Nicki and Jesse. Plus Nicki is back in reporter mode as she investigates the rapes that have been happening occurring in the back alleys off Main Street in Winchester. Another awesome addition to the series with lots of hot steamy romance. And lets not forget the intriguing drama, action and suspense along the way.

This is book three in the Nicki Sosebee (sohs-bee) series. They do need to be read in order. If you have not read the first two books, stop now, do not read any further. I'd hate to spoil anything for you.
Sean who? Yeah, yeah, I've been around Jade enough, kept her company at enough author take-overs, to know that this is all a big love triangle, but right now I am completely in cheerleader mode and Jesse is my man. Tough cookie Nicki has fallen in – oh, don’t say that L-word – with Jesse. Meanwhile she’s chasing a story about a serial rapist, an unheard of occurrence in peaceful Winchester, CO. Nicki’s doing her best to advise the women of her hometown to act with caution to protect themselves.
One of things you may not know about me is that I am a martial artist and I used to assist in teaching self-defense classes. Jesse earned extra points with me when he advised Nicki to use her keys as impromptu brass knuckle / knives as she walks to and from her car after dark. I always included that bit of advise for my students. Jade, thank you for getting that message out there in another forum. There are never too many words of caution.
One other thing, Nicki is having a hard time dealing with the idea of turning thirty and the guys don’t get it. I turned fifty this year. Thirty wasn’t a problem; forty wasn’t a problem, just a number I would say, but fifty is killing me. I still feel about 25 inside (we won’t get into the other half of Jesse’s cheer up speech LOL), but there is no denying that there are certain birthdays for each of us that seem to define our lives. I’m looking forward to seeing how Jesse helps Nicki to celebrate this milestone.
Okay, so bottom line, did I like the book. Hell, yeah! Third book in the series and each one better than the one before! I am so glad I gifted myself with a week of Jade’s books (I have no other stories scheduled until the 26th, except for one cover reveal tomorrow).

“No Place to Hide: Nicki Sosebee #3” by Jade C. Jamison

A serial rapist is on the loose and Nicki is determined to get her front page story! The streets of Winchester County aren’t safe after dark but that doesn’t stop her from getting into sleuth mode and searching for clues. As she continues to grow as a reporter and learn from her mentor, Neal, Nicki gets better at finding her answers even if it means putting her life at risk!
I love the new relationship with Jesse that Nicki explores in this book. He is so different from Sean and I think it opens her eyes to the possibility that she’s been after the wrong things. He’s sweet, thoughtful, romantic, and seems to genuinely care for her. Jesse brings out a softer side to Nicki that we haven’t seen before and it only adds to the depth of her character.
I gave this book only 4 stars for one reason…the ending. I felt it was slightly abrupt and was missing the closure I’ve come to look forward to in her books. In her previous books, Jamison has “closed the case” but here we are left hanging. I desperately wanted to know if they had arrested the right man and if justice would be served. There was a good bit of build up and then the book just sort of ends. I suppose, on the plus side, that it will keep me hungry for the next book!
I’m still really enjoying Jamison’s style. She writes to entertain yet still manages to keep things real. Nicki and her relationships aren’t perfect and they have their ups and downs. I like that her characters face true life obstacles and that’s what keeps me coming back for more. I’m on to the next book where I will hopefully find the last bit of resolution I was missing here. I can’t wait to see what Nicki gets into next! I continue to recommend this series to everyone!

Nicki Sosebee is for sure my all time favorite character ever written by Jade C. Jamison. She fun, spunky, has a lot of fun, and most of all gives us a lot of mystery. Jade has written nine books about Nicki so far and i hope she isn't done!! I want to keep reading about Nicki's exciting life. Read about what new stories she will be reporting about, and for sure find out what happens with her and the man she loves. Nicki's best friend, Sean was the one man she wanted to make things work with, the man she wanted to love. Only thing was they were somehow stuck in that friend zone. So while trying to get her career and get the guy Nicki blew off steam with other men. Only in this series NIcki tended to make steam, Jade sure did make sure we knew Nicki sizzles. Things always seem to get messy with Nicki's life, but she always finds a way out. Her life is definitely an entertaining one, and it takes you on a wild ride with no stopping.

Ok remember in my last review for this series I proclaimed my love for Sean but I was crushing on Jesse……Well Sean made me FURIOUS this book and so I am Team Jesse…well for now…remember I said I was a book slut???
Ok so this book is really about the relationship of Jesse and Nicki. Holy hell is the chemistry off the wall, insanely thick. Jesse has totally been crushing on Nicki since high school so he is totally my Rico Suave. He is Mr. Cool and rocks Nicki’s world in and outta the bedroom. Nicki is gitty and when he friends want info about Jesse and his sexual ways, Nicki doesn’t want to share because she has feelings for him…awww sweet but don’t tell her it is the “L” word!!! Ok so why am I mad at Sean you ask? Well remember the night Nicki and he have sex in college but he said they can’t ever talk about it…well he talked about it to Jesse, which in turn, made Jesse freak out. I think EVERYONE can see the Sean/Nicki chemistry but neither will admit it.
The mystery of the novel is about a serial rapist in the community. Nicki is investigating it and even gets to interview a rape victim. The rapist does, of course, hunt down Nicki.
Ok back to reading….need to get cracking into book 4!!!!

Book 3 in the Nicki Sosebee 4 pack...and they keep getting sexier as we go! I LOVE that this one is all about Nicki and Jesse's blossoming afair... Jamison doesn't hold back with the sexual tension and OMG the fireworks in the bedroom are smoking hot and yet so sweet!
A rapist is on the loose so of course our reporter gal is gonna get herself in trouble and be a possible target for the pervert...as well as dealing with a pissed off Sean. I have switched my loyalty after this book and I'm definitely Team Jesse right now...Sean annoyed me big time. Now will I change my mind as the series goes on...that remains to be seen?
So excited about getting to know more about this crazy chick in the next books =)

I really like this series.
It always has something going on.
You never know what kind of trouble Nicki will get into when shes not trying.
It's a fast read. I do like longer books but this storyline is good. Every book has a different story behind it. It kinda reminds me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series in the different storyline in every book.

The Nicki Sosebee books are so awesome - I love this author. I can't wait for the next one. Jade has done an amazing development of her characters. I like them as much as my Stephanie Plum books and they are a lot jucier.

Another fab installment into Nicki Soesbee's life.
