Some interesting and uncommon ideas, including planting for home energy efficiency. But most of the bargain-hunting and propagating information is pretty common sense.
This is an AMAZING resource. I've been learning most of these things bit by bit with personal experience and research and here is all is, neat, tidy and concise! There are not enough flowery words for how awesome this book is. And, I paid a ridiculously small price for it at a goodwill! I will never give my copy up! I sent one to my beginning gardening friend.
It really gets into the nitty-gritty of compost, sunlight and acid/base testing of your garden without making your head ache if science isn't your thing. Great advice for cutting corners, do-it-yourselfing and scavenging from around the house.
Great book! So many great ideas on how to save money while making your garden. Really interesting ways of recycling items that can be used in your garden!
Lots of good ideas in here, especially their lists of tools and sources for cheap fertilizer. They don't assume you know anything but they aren't patronizing either.
This book is great for beginners and those of us looking to start a garden and not go broke. It's written simply with great tips for saving. I always think if I can get one thing /tip from a how to, it's been worth it and from this one, I had a list, so well done!
