The Disqualification King, Sakuragi, successfully did it 5 times in a row, with 25 straight fouls in totality. He really gotta control that brute force of him. Anyway, the last foul that completed this record was so beautiful that I literally did not want to turn the pages—BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID FOR THAT PERFECT DUNK TO BE WHISTLED AT WITH A CALL-OUT OF HIS JERSEY NUMBER. LOL. Anyway, that was a fricken moment, I was breathless.

I love the sudden changes, albeit tinyyyyy, in Sakuragi's attitude. He was dazed over the fact that he was forced out of the court and did not brag about his flawless dunk. He's slowly realizing the wildness of his character that drags him down. I can't wait to see him evolve, he'll be the most beautiful, breath-taking view!! Also, I love Mitsui so so much, I dunno but why he always makes me cry—and his 3-point shoots 4 times in a row!! And the scene at the locker room after their victorious game against Shoyo is just so fricken wholesome!! Up next is Shohoku's first finals game, against Kainan!

Shohoku won against its strong opponent Shoyo and moved forward to the finals! Sakuragi's Slam Dunk at the end of the game received the loudest cheering. The team is improving ... excited for the upcoming game against Kainan. These two teams next to Takezato and Ryonan are striving for the national champion.

HAIL THE REBOUND KING.

That's my review. Kidding.

I just realized that my my brain and heart is silently shouting, cheering for team Shohoku. I want this team to win all the basketball leagues in the world. The display of physicality and determination of the characters makes them even larger-than-life personalities that should be admired by many, thanks to Inoue's talent of writing and illustrating.

I felt playing basketball is so fun. This manga is very realistic, so I like it. For example "Kuroko no Basket" it is impossible in real life, it means that it is realistic. The characters have been special abilities which are unrealistic, so it is not fun for me to read it. In case "Slam Dunk". The author tried to express something by using various way, perspective is particular. He wanted to convey how height difference between Shoyo and Shouhoku, so he used perspective which is under and top.

Slam Dunk, Vol. 11 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (90–98) of the on-going manga series.

The quarterfinals match of the Interhigh Tournament between Shohoku High and Shoyo High concludes in this tankōbon. With Kenji Fujima entering the game in the second half, Shoyo is able to make a comeback and Shohoku starts losing by twelve points. Hanamichi Sakuragi continues to commit fouls, causing him to be very nervous when committing his fourth. In the latter half, Hisashi Mitsui becomes exhausted due to his long break from playing basketball.

While facing Kazushi Hasegawa, Mitsui recovers his spirit from junior high school, and starts scoring various three-pointers. Mitsui makes five consecutive three-pointers and Kaede Rukawa scores two two-pointers, allowing Shohoku to take the lead at 62 to 60.

As Mitsui is unable to continue, he is substituted by Kiminobu Kogure. When Rukawa questions Sakuragi's attitude with the four fouls, Sakuragi makes a slam dunk which leaves the audience amazed. However, the slam dunk is considered a foul and Sakuragi is disqualified once again. Sitting on the sidelines again, Sakuragi watches his team excels at defense to eventually win and move on to the semifinals.

This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue. For the most part, I really liked the direction of the narrative. It shows the backstory Hisashi Mitsui and his history with basketball and his rivalry with Kazushi Hasegawa of Shoyo High, who they used to play for the same team in Juniro High School.

All in all, Slam Dunk, Vol. 11 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more.

The Rebound King, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Rebound King!!!!

This match was AWESOME!!! Incredible basketball skills display by every player and Sakuragi had some lit moments that are gonna be difficult to forget about.

At this point, i want every volume to have a basketball game or part of it. The story is excellent, i's impossible to only like one characters, i feel like eveything about this series is perfect.

This might be my favorite volume of Slam Dunk to date! In this episode, we see Shohoku in the great 8, competing against a team that is seeded second in the entire prefectural tournament: Shoyo. Shoyo has their own secret weapon in their player-coach Fujima, who enters the game to take back control. Once he's on the court, Shohoku struggles to compete, as Fujima's passion and presence disrupt the Shohoku run-and-gun strategy. In order to win, Shohoku needs a spark, which will come from the main character Sakuragi!

At the time of this review, I have read volumes 1-17 back-to-back. As always, I will try to only focus on the current review.

For a guy that does not say much, Coach Anzai has clear expectations and knows his players' capabilities. He says what he needs to say and leaves the rest to Captain Akagi and Ayako, which gives him a Coach Nekomata feel. Yet, he pushed Sakuragi and Mitsui to the edge, especially Mitsui, because he knows they can give more than what they are currently doing. Mitsui deserves a standing a ovation for the work he put into this game! We also see some evolution from Sakuragi.

Verdict: I am definitely getting pulled into this series.

The match between Shohoku and Shoyu comes to a close in exceptional fashion, capturing such excitement and tension in magnificently drawn pages. It is also fantastic to see the development of Mitsui as he gets back into playing basketball, but the most impressive is how Hanamichi develops. It's been a joy to see him develop as a basketball player, and I am really excited to see where he will go next.

I had to chase down this volume and I can tell why now with the resolution of that match. I think it's so impressive how Inoue is able to maximize some really well composed and action-packed panels with some genuine and simple-stated dialogue that really helps this series transcend just your average sports manga. I think this has the potential to really go beyond to be an all time favorite.

One of the more iconic of sports manga. It's the first series where I actually both read the manga and watched the anime. It has flawed protagonists, growing up pains, colourful characters, and beautiful meaningful relationships, all neatly wrapped around the context of college basketball.

This match was so intense!
I was stressing out the whole time while reading lol.
I feel so proud seeing them all improve and grow closer together.
And then the SLAM DUNK. That was amazing.
I was scared that he wasn’t going to make it but he did. And he really showed that what he’s capable off.

THIS IS CINEMA.
curious as to how the tournament will go because in past sports manga/anime i’ve watched they usually lose the first tournament and win the second so i guess we shall see.

Yet another winner in the Slam Dunk series. This was so exciting! And the illustrations leading up to and immediately after Hanamichi's slam dunk - perfection!
