A woman travelling by train after the death of her husband and child is headed to a remote northern community in Manitoba to reconcile her past as the daughter of a Baptist Minister who committed suicide after a series of dark events. Also travelling on the train is a black pastor from the southern states who coincidentally is travelling to the same community. As they become acquainted they begin sharing their tragic histories and in doing so, find solace in one another.
Sonia Dubinsky holds a Bachelor's and Masters degree in Social Work. She has practiced social work and worked extensively in the field of addictions in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. She currently resides in British Columbia with her cat, Gus.
