Twelve-year-old Hannah Barnes is just like all the other girls in her small town, except for one little Hannah’s best friend is a ghost. When the annual Sweet Pea Festival arrives, Hannah discovers the secret to freeing Lilah from her earthly bondage. Hannah has a big decision. Will she help Lilah move on, or will she cling to her best friend?
Hi! I write Children's, Tween, and Young Adult fantasy. My stories are light-hearted tales for the younger set (or ageless folk who remain young at heart *grin*). I love dragons and faeries and all things unexplained. I'm especially fond of Celtic & Native American tales. Faeries and Dragons and Thunderbirds, Oh My!
Hannah's family is moving to a new home where she makes a new friend, Lilah. Not everyone is as open-minded as Hannah and her family who recognize that their twelve-year old may have some psychic abilities. Hannah has to make a choice between keeping her new friend or letting her go.
This is a sweet ghost story, appropriate for children. It contains several good lesson points. I'm glad I picked this up and plan to share it with my ten year old granddaughter.
I thought this was a cute read. I think one for a much younger audience that what it seemed to be targeted towards or what I saw it targeted towards. It is clean enough for young readers (preteen). I saw a review where someone had compared it to a "light" version of Ghost Whisperer and I would agree with that.
Cute story about 12 year old Hannah and her best friend Lilah (who is a ghost). This is one of those feel good stories. While it's categorized as young adult, I think this would be suitable for grades 4 and up.
Very cute short story. A very good read for a pre-teen. About a little girl with an imaginary friend that turns out to be more Than imaginary with a sweet ending.
I did not realize this book was only 25 pages. This was way too short. I would not even consider this a short story or novella. It was ok but it definitely need sustenance.
