Anna, four years a werewolf, raped, beaten, half-starved and handed from one male to another, places a call from Chicago to the wilds of Montana. She reaches the Marrok, North America's werewolf ruler, telling him she's seen a boy, one reported missing and possibly injured. He was in a cage her pack's Alpha keeps for confining new werewolves.
The Marrok says that his enforcer is flying from Montana to O'Hare. Anna meets the plane, and, Charles, enforcer, as well as the Marrok's oldest son, insists on staying with her. He has seen she is not the Submissive she thinks she is. Charles is a supreme Alpha, and she is his antithesis, a rare Omega; her very presence lowers tension, calms and soothes. Despite centuries as a Solitary, Charles would wed young Anna. His brother wolf, he says, has already taken her as his mate.
2.5 stars rounded up. I didn't care for this as much as Volume 1. The plot felt rushed and full of holes. The bond between Charles and Anna, which was left unresolved at the conclusion of the earlier volume, finally solidified, but even that felt lack luster.

Its been about a million years since I opened a comic, or graphic novel as these seem to be called, but I remember the illustrating being significantly better than this. Leaving aside the horrible shading. These characters are supposed to be essentially immortal. Forever appearing to be in their mid 20’s to early 30’s and whilst not necessarily handsome or beautiful, attractive in their health & vitality. These illustrations often depicted the characters to look considerably older, eternally angry, and significantly unattractive. Their stick arms and droopy bottoms, disproportionately long & skinny legs. All in all they’re very amateurish. I’m really disappointed.
This is a graphic novelization of novel by the same name.
Spoilers
A bit more inferences revealed, and hints that Anna's wolf side has compelled her human side into becoming Charles' mate while the human part tries to determine if she's happy or not; years of abuse after being forcibly being changed have left Anna with a sour experience regarding werewolves.
Selfish Leah tries to dominate Anna. Anna discovers that Charles, in typical bachelor fashion, has nothing in his larder. There's more I'm trying to discern as I've read Mercy Thompson, but not this series. If you haven't read either, what are doing reading the spoilers?
It changes quite a few details in the original story, which left it feeling shallow and rushed. A reader unfamiliar with the book would probably be confused as to the motivations of people. Also not a fan of the artwork. It looked inconsistent - some panels were detailed and others looked rushed - and the characters were not attractive nor did they fit their profiles. All werewolves appear around 25ish,so making them look middle aged just doesn’t fit.
I would not have bought these if I had known what they were. I had enjoyed the 1st book on Alpha and Omega , hadn't seen anymore on them.So I was thrilled to find 8 books !Really disappointed to find I that I had bought comic's.
Great comic to read and enjoy anytime and never get bored recommend this book one hundred percent and once more I love miss patricia briggs and am thankful for David Lawrence for his art
The graphic novel form of the A&O series. They are not boring cliffs notes of the written novel. This format enhances the story. Worth the $. Definitely recommend.
