It's a rather confusing story, definitely romance, definitely sapphic. But, I'm not sure I liked the premise.
I am not a stranger to the trope of "sugar baby" or "gold diggers" that fall in love with their mark. This book, however, rides the hype and takes it a bit further than I was comfortable with.
I found the younger MC very hard to like, despite many redeeming qualities, and I could not figure out the older MC who was acting like a 90-year-old woman with no reason to live. Seriously, the first part of this book had me frustrated and confused.
With the 2nd part came a slower pacing and that made everything more credible and less confusing. I started to believe in the attraction, the feelings, and the possibility of a real relationship... the slower pace made it all better for me.
