An ancient temple with something so precious as the ruby of fire is something which kinda made me a little bit excited for this book.the ruby of fire produces oil which makes fire.well surprise surprise the ruby inside the temple isn't the real ruby of fire although it can create of fire. the original diamond unfortunately can't create fire and this diamond is behind the temple guarded by a snake.I rated this book a 4 was because the original diamond can't do anything special but if i sell it i could earn a lot of money. I would obviously prefer the fake diamond over the real because it can create fire. my favourite character in this book is monkey fur because she can speak animal languages.i thought it was cool because she asked the snake for the diamond and the snake gave it to her. my favourite part in this book is when the bad guys get attacked by the good guys because i thought it was pretty brave of the good guys to attack first. overall it was a good book with a little bit of comedy and a lot of adventure .

Awesome adventure! It takes place in the Amazon.. so kids end up learning a lot about the area and people while enjoying Geronimo and his families adventure to save the rain forest from the rotten rodents!

... so, educational and enjoyable! :)

I think this book was very good compared to the other books in the series because I think it is more historical, and it has more adventure in it. I especially liked the part when Monkeyfur told the gang that the REAL ruby of fire was actually hidden with a boa constrictor.

This is a cute series! My son and I had fun reading it. I liked that this book presented some actual history/facts about the Incas, Amazon Rainforest etc, mixed in with the story.

This was a tricky book there is this girl that can talk to monkeys and snakes it is crazy.
There is this ruby but they replaced it with a fake one since there was a lot of people trying to steal it.

Today's book review is on Geronimo Stilton's book "The Temple of the Ruby of Fire". It's a book for kids age 7-10yrs, published by scholastic in 2004.
The book length is 122 pages but since the chapters are very small & there are lots of coloured graphic content to make it catchy, entertaining for better imagination & understanding of the kids. The book gets over pretty fast!
My kid got the book issued from the school library & from there our journey with Geronimo started.
It's an intriguing book so much so that adults like me who still love watching Tom&Jerry would love this book too!!

Geronimo Stilton runs a newspaper, The Rodent's Gazette, but his true passion is writing adventure stories. He receives a mysterious yellow envelope on his desk from Professor Pawan Von Volt who is a famous scientist. Any message from the prof. is always thrilling..but it wasn't a message but 4 plane tickets to club house in Crocodilia. The tickets were for Geronimo's nephew Benjamin, sister Thea & cousin Trap.
Do you know where Crocodilia is?? It is on the Amazon River in Brazil.
I will not spill any more beans about the various adventures & hilarious accounts that happen in the book. For that you will have to read the book! But in the end the children would be able to understand, What is amazon?
Who lives in the Amazon forest?
What animals live there?
What plants are found there?
What does the Amazon forest resemble?
Why is the forest in danger?
Why is it important?
Since Amazon Rain forest have been on fire & it has been in the news recently, I found it appropriate to enlighten our kids about Amazon through an entertaining medium.
Please check out the book & I am sure, you & the kid who reads it will definitely enjoy it, like we did.

Miss 5 listened to this by audiobook and enjoyed it so much that she asked for another. (After we listened to all of the audiobook Geronimo Stilton's that we could borrow, we started buying and borrowing the physical books; it helped that she was already very familiar with the characters and their quirks).

Miss 5 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

This was another fun Geronimo Stilton book for children. This adventure sends Geronimo and his family to the jungles of Brazil to help their professor friend. Geronimo's plans for a nice peaceful spa vacation go awry and laughs result. This cute book will keep beginning readers occupied and entertained throughout its length.

The main event is when Trap found the entrance to the temple. But there were a lot of snakes guarding it. but they got passed by lighting a torch on fire. they threw the torch at the snakes and they all went away from it. it left a nice path to walk on. I would give this book 5 stars because it is a good book to read for a book report.

3 étoiles & 3/10 coeurs. Humoristique et intéressant, comme toujours. J'aime beaucoup le poème à la fin. On a parlé des « esprits » (dans le temple) mais il s'est avéré qu'il s'agissait de singes. Ouistiti était aussi une fille douce et intelligente :)

Since the last book, my verdict is the same: I hate Trap.

In this book, the gang heads off to Brazil in search of Professor Von Volt, to help him find the Ruby. Along the way, they do meet indigenous people and face antics along the way.

Kids also get to learn about the Yanomami tribe along the Amazon River.
