I began this book when my mother was in the hospital and I found myself having to make decisions for her and for my dad. It gives you objective criteria to base decisions on, and a framework for thinking about the care of people who cannot decide for themselves.
It's good for people who are taking care of older relatives, but I would recommend that everyone read it because the subject matter forces us to deal with our own issues before the time comes.
