Great reference book of photography...

For those who aren't always keen on reading long drawn out historical reviews this book builds on the idea that a picture is worth a 1000 words. Beautifully illustrated with sometimes haunting images from all over the world in 2011 this book provides shorts captions explaining what happened in each of the images, but usually on another page. This allows the images to speak for themselves and the reader to really absorb the impact of what is happening. Not limited to a certain part of the world this book does lean more heavily on areas that were in the news a lot during the year, namely places like England, Libya, North Korea and Japan.
