I was raised in a loving Christian household, but as a teen had too many questions about our faith and not enough answers. So, when I left home at seventeen as a non-practicing Catholic and threw myself into an unhealthy college environment with nothing but my own desires to guide me, the result wasn't pretty.
I was on fire, not for God, but for architecture and chasing my dreams.
Fortunately, God drew me out of the mess I'd made, and I finally saw that His ways were better than mine. I surrendered to His will, and now instead of designing buildings, I write the books that I needed as a teen and young adult.
Books that I pray will touch you as they have touched me.
What started as a project to talk with my daughter about the challenges of living in a broken world, The HIDDEN Series has become a gritty, fast-paced book series featuring authentic teen characters that readers are not likely to forget.

Secrets is a great read for all audiences! Young adults will really relate to Verity Lucia's fast paced writing style and story. The pro-life story is beautiful and absolutely needed in our world today. The protagonist, Elise, is relatable and life-like. As a mom who has read quite a bit of YA fiction, I would definitely recommend the Hidden series to young adult readers. I love how the author blends the true-to-life realities of teen pregnancy and God's merciful love for us with supernatural story elements that will resonate with young readers. It was an engrossing story. I didn't want to put it down! I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Hidden series for both myself and my young adult family members!

I very much enjoyed this book. It tells a story of a teen girl who is forced to face choices. But, thank goodness she has a couple of people in her life fighting for her and what is true and right. Oh, and a God who loves her unconditionally. ❤️ This book is great for teens and adults. It reminded me a lot of Francine River's writing style, which I absolutely adore. I will be definitely following this author now! It was easy to follow, fast paced and I didn't want to stop reading it. Great book!
