April Waterson has just waved good-bye to her best friend and work colleague after a ritual Friday night out for dinner and drinks. She heads toward a cabstand and begins to feels ill. When April's vision finally clears, she finds herself in an unfamiliar forest, surrounded by gigantic trees. She falls asleep leaning against a large tree trunk.
April finally awakens and finds herself in a palatial-style mansion with two Alpha shape-shifting panthers, Gage and Saxon Kian, claiming she is their mate. She attempts to escape and finds herself being rescued by another shape-shifter, only this time it's a bear. Ben Koku knows April is his mate as well. He asks April to accept his claim so he may help her deal with the dominant, arrogant panther shifters, and she accepts.
Will the three men be able to convince April she is a worthy mate for the three of them?
My name is Becca Van. I live in Australia with my wonderful hubby of many years, as well as my children, a pigeon pair (a girl and a boy). I have always wanted to write and last year decided to take the plunge.
I didn’t want to stay in the mainstream of a boring nine-to-five job, so I quit to fulfill my passion for writing. I decided to utilize my time with something I knew I would enjoy and had always wanted to do. I submitted my first manuscript to Siren-BookStrand a couple of months ago; and much to my excited delight, I got a reply saying they would love to publish my story. I literally jump out of bed with excitement each day and can’t wait for my laptop to power up so I can get to work.
Meh annoying as crap heroine dumbass alphas weird ass decisions "let the law be changed so the minions eat first and the alphas eat last" WTF ... why be an alpha isn't that contrary to alpha-ness even the sex wasn't that hot sad and dissapointed :(
Is this book for you? Answer these easy questions and find out.
You wake up naked in a strange bed, in a strange house, with no idea how you got there, the last thing you remember is being bitten by two large panthers, what do you do? 1) search for some clothes and get the f out of there! 2) hope it was a female that undressed you and then go take a bath. Tough choice, huh? If you picked 1 and would think anyone that picked number 2 is clearly TSTL this may not be the book for you.
Still not sure? Does the idea of a panther going down on you sound like a bad and painful idea? 1) yes 2) no If you picked again 1 this may not be the book for you.
You run away from your two newly found, unasked for mates to try and find a way home. You come across a werebear that wants to be your mate too. What would your answer be? 1) 'WTF?!?! I don't care if werebears are calmer than panthers! I already have two mates I don't want or know what to do with!' 2) 'well, unlike the last two you asked so why not?' Hmm, you pick number 1 again? Yeah, this book is not for you.
I don't know why I continue to read anything by Becca Van. Her stories all have the same formula. Girl finds out she's the mate to three hot men, all three of her men are unbelievably rich, her mates save her from some stalker trying to kill her, they have sex and live happily ever after. All you have to do is read one of her books to read them all.
This was just...Beyond words...And not in a good way. If you like: 1) Insta-love 2) Bestiality 3) People who apologize for things that aren't their fault 4) People jumping to conclusions 5) Strange unrealistic manage's 6) Really stupid comments and decisions (feed the Alphas last? Uhm, they're like kings, would you feed your king last? No.)
What does one expect from a Siren....pretty light and fluffy fare. Not too bad....but according to one reviewer, if you've read one Becca Van, you've read them all, so I guess I can mark off the rest lol
It wasn't a bad story it just lacked that ughmmmf. I really could not like any of the characters. Anyone in the same situation would sort of I don't know go bat shit cray cray on them. How about some explanation as to how the transportation is possible? Or better yet, explain the shifting.
This novel was screwed up but still good. The heroine was simple put on a different universe, a parallel one. It was one of my first times reading a novel in that circumstance.
I really enjoyed this story. I liked the characters as well. Though I do wish it was a bit longer. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal romance.
