That was cute and sweet and a really nice quick read.
Not sure why it comes under 'enemies-to-lovers' when in this novella it's a 'best friends-to lovers' scenario, but I really couldn't care less.

I'm completely digging Anyta Sunday's writing: it's just lovely. Simple. Effective.
This is a short (smigeon over 10,000 words) candy-sweet tale about a best friend who can't see what's in front of him. There are no suprises, no twists, no shocks, no explicit sex, but it's just so sweetly written. I'm hooked.

I have enjoyed all the stories by Ms Sunday that I have read, this short free is no exception.
Unrequited love sucks and it's even worse when you can't just cut the person out of your life!
Benny and James are best friends and have been for years...but poor James has been in love with Benny the whole time, and Benny can't see what is right in front of him.
It's sweet, gentle and very enjoyable story..

This was a cute short story. I loved how we got to see them come together. It was nice to see Benny finally see what he had right in front of him.
James was quite the forgiving character. I’ve been where he is and I had to walk away. I’m a huge fan of this author so I expected to love it as much as I did.

A very cute, short, friends-to-lovers-type read. Love Anyta Sunday's way of telling stories.
However, in this story, Benny's blindness to what's directly in front of him felt a bit exaggerated to me. And again, there were some problems with editing and grammar slip-ups.
Since this is a free read I rounded up to four stars, anyway. And it definitely is a recommended read for anyone reading the Enemies to Lovers series!

It's funny how authors can write some of their best stuff when it is not published. I absolutely loved this little short story based before the start of "William".
Ben and James are best friends and do practically everything together; but unrequited love can be a bitch and Ben is heads over heels for Heath.
I love when my favourite tropes are written well. One person is crushing on someone who isn't that interested in him. The other doesn't realise it is a lost cause, and the other watches from the sidelines shaking his head. I wish there was more of Ben and James, but despite being short the author packed a punch (imo) there was enough angst, drama and requited love at the end to make it a satisfying and realistic read.

Cute Friends-to-Lovers short story. I would have liked some internal connection with the first stories without depending on the blurb to know that it's related to next installment; I prefer that a series explain itself, obviously excepting those where the link is by location or merely thematic.

A nice three-part short story.
Benny was so much into Keith that he failed to recognize the obvious. It took a visit from his sister to open his eyes about his best friend, James. But, was it too late?
I really enjoyed reading this story. It's short, but it manages to pack a nice flowing story.
Recommended.

This short novella has no connection to the previous books as it takes place in a totally different place. I have a feeling it has a similar setting as the next two books in the series. Though I liked the idea behind this one - Best Friends to Lovers, Benny (our sole POV) was TOO clueless for me. I cringed and felt sorry for James most of this read.
Benny Reece is on a mission of finding a real relationship. He has a guy in mind, yeah he might not really be interested in him but he wants to know FOR SURE. Giving it enough chances. He tries asking his best friend James Stewart to be his "wing-man" a couple of times but James seems reluctant to help and he isn't sure why.
Benny just doesn't GET IT. He doesn't get he is looking for a guy who looks VERY similar to his best friend, the one he can't have enough of, can't seem to be distant from for less than a day. Keeps hanging in his apartment and sometimes sharing his bed (coz the sofa is uncomfortable). James is heart broken with every stupid attempt Benny does towards someone else. He just wants Benny to realize what he TRULY wants he actually already has... It's just about taking things to the next step between them.

The title is a bit misleading. The two are never enemies but instead best friends. One takes the other for granted and is blind to what's right in front of him. Enjoyable characters and story.
Typos: See notes. Blonde is a woman with blond hair, not a color, and a tick is a bloodsucking parasite, not a nervous habit. That would be tic.

This novella shouldn't have been part of the series because it wasn't enemies to lovers it was a best friends to lovers romance. This novella was good but I didn't love it. James was a sweetie and had way more patience than I could of ever had. Benny however just annoyed me and was a bit aggravating.

This was fast, sweet and I loved it.
It is one of my favorite romance tropes, clueless friends, who are really boyfriends.

Drunk, James steals a kiss arguing that he thought Benny was someone else… and Benny STILL doesn’t get it. When he says the kiss didn’t mean anything, James gives up.
The formatting is off in my kindle version: bold is huge, and some passages have a different background (where they didn’t strip out the formatting before uploading).
This one… I actually got so frustrated with Benny that I was hoping James could do better. That’s kind of not romantic, eh?

The breezes outside weren’t the warmest and Benny rubbed the chill off his friend’s upper arms as he pulled back.

✔ Letto! Ho dovuto andare a cercare questo piccolo regalo per capire un po la storia del 3 libro e il perché della rabbia di James verso Heart e questa è una piccola parentesi della serie da nemici ad amanti, perché qui si tratta veramente di amici che diventano amanti, che sono appunto Benny e James, perché loro praticamente vivono già quasi in un matrimonio senza sesso. Dove un James ama alla follia il suo miglior amico e non dice niente, lasciando che lui abbia una cotta non corrisposta per il suo sosia di nome Heart.
Poi basta un bacio ubriaco a far sì che Benny veda di più di quello del suo amico, si renda consapevole dell'amore de della gelosia che prova per lui, ormai si era perso preoccupato che Heart non lo voleva e era "cieco come un pipistrello" per l'evidente.
Dolcissima breve storia.
Peccato non l'hanno tradotta in italiano.
Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ e💋 ma solo perché si meritavano un libro lungo come gli altri.

I was looking for an 'Enemies to lovers' story and this one doesn't really covers that field but I had nevertheless a great pleasure to read it. It was a short one and I read it all in one evening; the characters were charmingly alive and intense. I had this big smile on my face before going to sleep!! :D

I knew this was supposed to be between the second and third books but I'm so glad I read it after William because I feel like I had background information on Benny and James. It was nice to see how they started! :)

Nice, AS makes the best Oblivious Characters. I only wish the Pinning for Another Guy didn't take most of the book, and I mostly dislike with a 3rd person has to make the MC see that he is in love with the Main Love Interest, not with the Other Guy.
