Christopher Catling is a respected travel writer and archaeological author who contributes to the Institute of Field Archaeology, the Society of Antiquaries, and English Heritage. He also serves as Vice-Chairman of Cotswolds Archaeology, supporting research and heritage preservation.
The photo are what make this book worth it. While the text is a bit dated it is still relevant enough to read and get a teaser of what to see and do beyond the bewildering array of information found in guidebooks. Super easy read and pretty short too.
