Miracle A Method of Prayer That Will Change Your LifeMiracle A Method of Prayer That Will Change Your Life by Linda Schubert is one of the most widely used and beloved Catholic/Christian prayer guides of the past 30+ years. This little booklet has helped over one million people in more than 25 countries establish or deepen a daily prayer life. Its genius is simplicity and it takes the often intimidating idea of spending a full hour in prayer and breaks it into twelve easy 5-minute segments.Key works for beginners who don’t know where to start. It also refreshes mature believers who struggle with dryness or distraction in prayer. It creates a structured yet Spirit-led “power encounter” with God — a time of cleansing, consecration, healing, and growth. It is practical, repeatable, and gentle — many use it daily or several times a week, and it has become a staple in inner-healing ministries, prayer groups, RCIA, and personal devotion.
Schubert provides a clear, Scripture-soaked framework that turns prayer time from a chore into a loving dialogue with the Lord. Countless readers testify that faithfully using Miracle Hour has brought breakthroughs in their relationship with God, emotional healing, and daily peace. Visit us at for more Catholic Bibles, Books and resources to nourish your faith. Structure – The 12 Sections (5 minutes each)The 12 sections Praise (Litany of Praise / honoring God for who He is)Sing to the Lord (worship through song or spontaneous singing)Spiritual Warfare (putting on the armor of God and taking authority over evil)Surrender (total yielding of your life, will, and circumstances to God)Release of the Holy Spirit (inviting the Holy Spirit to fill and empower you)Repentance (honest confession and turning from sin)Forgiveness (releasing hurts and forgiving others — a major emphasis)Scripture Reflections (praying with and listening to God’s Word)Wait for the Lord (listening / silent time with God)Thanksgiving (gratitude for blessings and answered prayer)Intercession (praying for others, family, church, world needs)Closing / Blessing or Praise (sealing the time with final surrender and joy)

In short, Miracle Hour is the foundational booklet in Linda Schubert’s prayer series. It gives people a practical “how-to” for spending quality time with God every day, and it has quietly changed countless lives by making deep, life-giving prayer simple and doable. I talk to God all the time and have no trouble saying my prayers but I have a hard time when I want to ask for something for myself also in maintaining a regular prayer time. My prayer life has peaks and valleys This little booklet presents a truly wonderful way on how to pray including everything a prayerful life should include. The book proposes a one hour prayer time divided into 12 units of 5 minutes each. It is easy enough to tailor to yourself and make it fit your lifestyle. I don't think the whole hour at one time would be mandatory but I do think the components and the 5 minute durations are the key to this system. I was very inspired reading this little book and actually turned my reading of it into a prayer session. The book is written by a Catholic and has an Imprimatur, but it was also written at the height of the Charismatic Renewal. I'm a Traditionalist so I was uncomfortable with just a tiny bit of the text. The book is also not written to Catholics specifically but to all Christians and then at certain points it will say "for the Catholic". Truly a special little gem to have on hand that will only invigorate anyone's prayer time. I will be holding onto this and am carrying it in my purse for the time being to see how it has an affect on me. Among other things your prayer time will include, praise, worship, repentance, forgiveness, spiritual warfare and listening to God.

Best book to be used for personal healing time with the Lord or even Holy Hour in the presence of the Eucharist! It's been a decade I am using this book from time to time when I need to have serious time with the Lord. It really makes the reader/worshiper receptive to God's voice and opens doors for the Lord to come in and work!

Sad to know that the author passed away few months ago. Would have loved to get more content from her. May she pray for us from her heavenly abode ✝️

Excellent prayer method

This is an excellent prayer method for everyone. It covered all aspects of our plea to our father who is in heaven. Good book and I recommend it to all Christians.

My go-to prayer book when I want a full hour of deep prayer. I've also highlighted key, meaningful phrases and passages for abbreviated sessions.
