I have reread this story and based on my initial read, and having a moan about some typos back then, the author has had another look and improved the story and allowed me the once over to iron out any more pick ups found.
This is in my opinion a good story, written and edited for the readers to enjoy, and have subsequently updated my original review.
The story is about a high end BDSM club with professional women sex workers. I found this a fascinating insight as to how Michael has set this up with so much variety of types of play included. Some original implements and activities as far as I am aware, see my list of shelves for more information.
It follows new girl Breanne as she applies for her job, goes through her induction, from dancing, stripping, to lady wrestling, where you don't want to be on the losing chair...or do you? - then whipping, orgasm denial and so much more to bliss. Includes additional read with Breanne introduced to ice torture.
This is about the main characters journey, finding out about herself and her sexuality and although it incorporates other characters, the main focus is Breanne.
I have to say, given my time over again, and the knowledge I have now, would I like to spend time at The Silver Locke...oh yes!
This story fits perfectly for the criteria of Unusual Implements for BDSM group Book of the Month read April 2017.

This was certainly a different read, but just not for me. The main character, just liked things really heavy, she just didn't seem to suffer enough, always willing to go that extra mile. But mainly it's the money aspect that juts didn't do it for me, let alone the horrendous things that appear to be done to her, even though she appears to enjoy it. I found myself on several occasions thinking surely not, surely she's had enough.
I just can't imagine anyone realistically wanting to go through so much, no matter how much they were being paid. Can the human body really tolerate that much?, I'm just not sure. I found myself cringing rather than being turned on, so I'm afraid a turn off for me.
Some scenes did do it for me, just mixed feelings. Well written, as I found myself sympathising for her. The chair, hung high above the clientele, just because she lost the fight. Endless orgasuims, I just can not imagine what that would be like?. To be used as a dinner plate, after so much suffering?
Great descriptions by the author, well written, just not for me.

Sorry, but I really did not enjoy this book. The total lack of plot is one thing but when you read erotic fiction this is something that is fairly common but often overcome by the action itself. However, in this case, the BDSM action made me very uncomfortable, particularly when the main character, Breanne, was 'auctioned off' to dominatrix Tia. I simply did not like the degradation and humiliation that was inflicted on Breanne and, with the lack of any back story, found it hard to accept why she (or indeed anyone) would have such little self-respect as to be willing to let herself be subjected to such punishments. The short story at the end was in a similar vein so, from a personal point of view, I would only rate this as 1/10.

If you're looking for a story that touches on almost every sexual kink you can think of, you'll probably enjoy 'The Silver Locke.'
If you like to know more about characters than their sexual preferences, this might not be the story for you. I'm not saying the lack of backstory is a good or bad thing, it just is what it is.
Contains - BDSM, medical play, wax play, ice play, dubious consent, corporal punishment, MF, FF,etc, etc.
And a stereotypical nasty domme, because they're all bitches right? Yet a sadistic dom manages to show care and concern for his sub, even while torturing her, because well, apparently it's only women who can't treat a submissive with respect. *sigh*

In many ways I enjoyed Breanne's story of practically non-stop kinky sex work. What it lacks is an actual plot. The Amazon description says Breanne is "coming to grips with her own need for pain, humiliation, and sexual release," but if there is any inner thought beyond, "oh, I really like this", I missed it. This is basically a non-stop kinky sex romp. They have their place, but do not be confused that there is an actual plot here.

What a girl! Bre really is extreme and loves pain!
She is open minded and will try things out for the experience.
The Locke is a fantastic club, I really enjoyed all aspects of it, it's a BDSM club but not similar to any other club that I've read about. From dancing to auctions to wrestling, spa and pool room and a gym. That is used by club members to inflict pain to the entertainers (the girls).

The Silver Lovket
If you are looking for a fantasy hard core BDSM novil then you have found it right here. It was a well told story very unique in it's telling with plenty of sexual tortuer, and play. The second story was true fantasy as the ice that was applied to certain parts of a persons body thenn rapidly heated was puly ficitional in it's conception. You need to red this with an open mind that this is a story of pure fiction, but a fun read.

This was a first for me from this author, and it's a hard limit for me.
A exclusive BDSM club takes on a new dancer. Right from the first she fully interactive and experienced and enjoys the pain that is dished out to her.
That's what this book is about really, weird implements and pain, and not in a erotic sense or way.

This book was something I picked up to lessen the heavy topics that I had recently been picking up. It started out as a very intriguing read with Bre's introduction to the Locke, but after the first half of the book it went downhill.

Many of us have read the controversy of erotica vs literary porn. After reading this, I have come to the conclusion that what I have been reading for the past several years has been simple erotica that that could often get away with only an R-rating. The Silver Locke however, is straight up XXX rated porn. I am not even sure there was anything literary in it. Thankfully the author was very unapologetically up-front about this fact in the forward of this book. So I was warned and I went into it with, what I thought was, my eyes wide open.
OMG! You have heard of the proverbial train-wreck that you can't tear your eyes away from? Yep! This was in that realm. I was like - Really? No way! Unbelievable! Nope!
I found myself reading this 'til the end, including the bonus. That bonus! *shivers* I really can't say why, except for the above mentioned train-wreck. Girl on girl stuff so not my kink and there was a lot of that in this. The reason this got as high a rating as it did was because it did keep me until the end - in spite of myself.
