This beautiful book chronicles the lives of nearly 100 outstanding elders of northern New Mexico. This is an homage to these living treasures and the values they exemplify.
The text for this book was done by both Karen Brandt and Sharon Niederman (herself a NM treasure, IMHO). Many profiles, with insightful photos, of outstanding New Mexicans, mainly in the arts, many of whom I had never heard of. Familiar names to me included Beaumont Newhall, Pablita Velarde, Peggy Pond Church, Allan Houser, and Dorothy McKibbin.
