A learning lesson. Asanas very well explained. I bought the Kindle format. Had I known Asanas are so well explained, I would have gone for the Print option. Real life interactions in the first few chapters makes it easy to relate. Thank you Hansaji very well presented.
My rating does not reflect the quality of the content but how insightful has been for me. As a yoga practitioner who has embraced the lifestyle, I found the content very beginner oriented except for some interesting parts about relationships and work-life balance. I think the reading would be a great start for someone who has no clue about yoga (including food, sleep and the asanas) and want to approach it. Dr Hansaji has included many examples linked to her experience at her yoga centre. At the end there is also a list of basic yoga postures to help stretching, improve sleeping and digestion (including chair yoga). I would say they book is also oriented to an older generation.
Shri Hansaji gives the 7 rules one must practice to live a healthy life. She devotes a chapter to Diet, what one must eat and the proportion of fruits, vegetables, legumes , beans in the Diet. She stresses the importance of Vitamins, Minerals, Proteins and Carbohydrates. There is an entire two chapters on the Yoga Asanas or Postures for a good and balanced life. A really nice book that everyone should read or have.
Surely important concepts written in a very beginner friendly manner. The first half of the book (first 4 chapters) is more gripping and eye opening than the rest.
