Partners In Crime / At Bertram's Hotel / The Hound Of Death

Three Agatha Christie titles in one book: -

Partners in Crime - Tommy and Tuppence are hired by a detective agency which promises to solve crimes in 24 hours. Sixteen different cases await their attention, which they decide to solve in the manner of different famous detectives... Tommy and Tuppence Beresford were restless for adventure, so when they were asked to take over Blunt's International Detective Agency, they leapt at the chance. After their triumphant recovery of a pink pearl, intriguing cases kept on coming their way: a stabbing on Sunningdale golf course; cryptic messages in the personal columns of newspapers; and even a box of poisoned chocolates.

At Bertram's Hotel - An old-fashioned London Hotel is not quite as reputable as it makes out... When Miss Marple comes up from the country for a holiday in London, she finds what she's looking for at Bertram's Hotel: traditional decor, impeccable service and an unmistakable atmosphere of danger behind the highly polished veneer. Yet, not even Miss Marple can foresee the violent chain of events set in motion when an eccentric guest makes his way to the airport on the wrong day.

The Hound of Death - Discover a dozen rare stories of murder and suspense by Agatha Christie... Twelve unexplained phenomena with no apparent earthly explanation... A dog-shaped gunpowder mark; an omen from 'the other side'; a haunted house; a chilling seance; a case of split personalities; a recurring nightmare; an eerie wireless message; an elderly lady's hold over a young man; a disembodied cry of `murder'; a young man's sudden amnesia; a levitation experience; a mysterious SOS. To discover the answers, delve into the supernatural storytelling of Agatha Christie.

"En el Hotel Bertram" parecía interesante al principio, sobre todo por la descripción del ambiente un tanto pintoresco de un viejo hotel británico (aunque al final resulte ser un tanto impostado), pero el desarrollo y la conclusión de la historia decepcionan por su carácter excesivamente artificioso.
