I enjoyed reading this cute interesting children’s book about Texas. It was a nice little historical overview. Some of the data could stand to be updated. The book was written in 2000 and he states that the populations of Texas then was 20 million. Now in 2021, the Texas population is almost 29 million.

What else to read after our move to Houston? Flo loves the funny shape and the pictures. She’d probably give it 3-star because the wording is a bit dense for little ‘uns. I found out loads about our new home though...

I’ve lived in Texas well over half my life and longer than I’ve lived anywhere else. This book gave me a great overview and taught me some parts of Texas history I’d never learned before.
