Act one, scene one. When Mr. Gibbons posts the cast for the upcoming production of the seventh-grade musical, The Wiz, Madison's world gets a dose of serious drama. Can her role as stage manager of the show help her figure out who likes whom and who her real friends and enemies are?

Oh the days of talent shows and plays! I like how this book did not have every character wanting to be a lead in the play because that’s exactly how I would have been. I can’t remember any of the plays my school made us take part in but I can guarantee I was never the lead and was instead somewhere in the background (by choice).
This was an accurate portrayal of how someone can feel left out in a group when deciding to go ‘against the grain’ by being themselves.
A story that is realistic and authentic at capturing being a preteen.
I suddenly felt nostalgic over all the books I read when I was a kid, so I signed up for Scribd and now I'm using my free 14-day trial. I'm so lucky that it has all 22 volumes of Madison Finn, but I'm bummed they didn't have The Babysitters Club. Oh well. I might convince my mum to pay the $9 per month if I don't finish reading everything I want before April 24th, because I also saw some Nancy Drew books there, and I REALLY miss Nancy Drew. :(
Madison Finn was a staple in my childhood reading and I really regret the day I stupidly decided I was too old for them in 7th or 8th grade and donated them all to my school library. Ugh. I've never read the 1st and 2nd books of the series before, so I felt a bit alienated, but I finally settled in again once I started reading this one, as this was one of the volumes I owned. But also, is it me or the characters were all awkward with each other until this 3rd book?
This book is about Madison Finn- the stage manager of the school play "The Whiz". She was chosen to be the stage manager. At first, she was excited about it, she got used to the job and even had fun. However, during a school photo shoot, the photographer kicked her out of the photo just because she isn't a cast member. Will Madison finally get the attention she deserves?
It was my first book that I have read in the Madison Finn series. The story is all about the play "The Wiz". Madison wants to be the stage manager. And then she saw the castings for who their role is and she became the stage manager. She did a lot of effort nd everybody loves the play.
I think this was the first series that I became obsessed with! They were so fun to read. I still have a few of my old copies and I think i'll reread just for the pleasure of bringing back old memories hehe
This made me cringe a tiny bit because it brought me back to my drama days in school. But reading one of my favorite childhood series has made reading so fun again for the first time in months :’)
When the seventh grade is doing the play Wizard of Oz all of Madison's friends want to participate except Madison! Since she dosen' thave a talent she got choosen as stage manager. But when her bests friends start hanging out with Poisin Ivy Madison is not even sure who are her bests friends anymore!!
Ugh! Who actually reads these kinds of books? The main character is rude, snotty, and unlikable, but everyone likes her! Everything is really fake-feeling, and just plain awful! Real life is NOT like that.
I loved this book! I love the main character is a behind the scenes type. Some kids can relate to her. This is the first book I read in the series, even though it's the third book. Lol!
