When faced with any kind of problem I know that I would accept advice from someone who has had similar difficulties, and dealt with them, more than I would accept advice from a `professional' who has studied the solution, but never experienced the problem. I would consider the Author(s) of this book to cover both categories; they have lived with anxiety and panic attacks, sought out the answers for themselves, and put each idea into practice in their own lives. There is no better qualification in my view.
The book covers all the aspects of anxiety and panic, from the embarrassment of the sufferer when faced with the disbelief of those around them, to acknowledging the difficulties of the caregiver who doesn't know what to think when their usually confident partner turns into a heaving pile of frightened mush, for what seems like no reason at all.
They outline simple tips such as controlling your breathing (I have tried this, and it works) along with relaxation techniques, aromatherapy, structured and regular exercises. Learning how to effectively communicate with your partner or caregiver is another idea that I wouldn't have thought would help with anxiety or panic attacks, but I realise now that this would eliminate a lot of the frustration and panic that occurs when you don't understand one another.
As a book, I would say that this is a clear and comprehensive guide to overcoming your anxiety and panic attacks, and well worth the money; as a tool to be used in your battle against these attacks, and an aid to help your caregiver understand what is happening to you, I would say it is priceless!

This is probably one of the best self-help books I’ve read about anxiety and phobias. It has all the practical knowledge every person needs to know when it comes to understanding and eventually overcoming panic attacks.
Everything was broken down into easy-to-understand content that is engaging to the reader. Though it was stated that this is not written by a medical practitioner, we could see the vast amount of knowledge the author wants to partake to his/her readers through a combination of personal experience and expert advice.

Everyone has different comprehension in regards with anxiety, panic attacks and phobias but through this book everything you misconceive will change. It is true that no one will be cured overnight just by reading this book but through following the instructions/ideas in this book plus your regular consultation with your doctor surely the time will come you could manage it with ease.

This is one of the self-help books in the market that everyone should have. Using the techniques and advice written in this book will not only help you to overcome anxiety but also help you reclaim your life from this burden.

What makes this different from other self-help books I’ve read so far is that it was like having an entire library of information about anxiety, panic attacks and phobias compressed in just a single book. The truth about these issues was clearly discussed and itemized in each chapter and for a person suffering from this disorder; this book is truly a gold mine. Although this is not written by a medical practitioner it held contents that discusses anxiety based on personal experiences which is far more effective for me.

Most of us don’t know how to determine anxiety as it happens. They assume that they just worry too much and they don’t need any help to overcome it. This book explains in detail what to expect, how to handle it and overcome it at your best. This is not only for those people experiencing it but for their family as well and how much they can help with the process.

I would highly recommend this to everyone, even if you don’t suffer from anxiety or panic attacks because you’ll never know when you would actually need it and be a great help to anyone.
