This book is a well written and realistic approach to dealing with an autistic child and offers excellent direction in exercises to be performed to help divert some behaviors. Very encouraging!
Some very helpful advice for all types of children with ASD. And while she offers alternate ideas for verbal vs non-verbal, I find these types of books too general for either, not to mention those who may struggle with understanding concepts like deep breathing or naming emotions.
This was a great book to read as a parent who’s child was just diagnosed. It seems as though after the diagnosis there was no help or assistance to understand what to do next. My husband and I have been so lost, but this has been so helpful and we have already been able to make changes.
