About the author

Rajneesh (born Chandra Mohan Jain, 11 December 1931 – 19 January 1990) and latter rebranded as Osho was leader of the Rajneesh movement. During his lifetime he was viewed as a controversial new religious movement leader and mystic.

In the 1960s he traveled throughout India as a public speaker and was a vocal critic of socialism, Mahatma Gandhi, and Hindu religious orthodoxy.

Rajneesh emphasized the importance of meditation, mindfulness, love, celebration, courage, creativity and humor—qualities that he viewed as being suppressed by adherence to static belief systems, religious tradition and socialization.

In advocating a more open attitude to human sexuality he caused controversy in India during the late 1960s and became known as "the sex guru".

In 1970, Rajneesh spent time in Mumbai initiating followers known as "neo-sannyasins". During this period he expanded his spiritual teachings and commented extensively in discourses on the writings of religious traditions, mystics, and philosophers from around the world. In 1974 Rajneesh relocated to Pune, where an ashram was established and a variety of therapies, incorporating methods first developed by the Human Potential Movement, were offered to a growing Western following. By the late 1970s, the tension between the ruling Janata Party government of Morarji Desai and the movement led to a curbing of the ashram's development and a back taxes claim estimated at $5 million.

In 1981, the Rajneesh movement's efforts refocused on activities in the United States and Rajneesh relocated to a facility known as Rajneeshpuram in Wasco County, Oregon. Almost immediately the movement ran into conflict with county residents and the state government, and a succession of legal battles concerning the ashram's construction and continued development curtailed its success.

In 1985, in the wake of a series of serious crimes by his followers, including a mass food poisoning attack with Salmonella bacteria and an aborted assassination plot to murder U.S. Attorney Charles H. Turner, Rajneesh alleged that his personal secretary Ma Anand Sheela and her close supporters had been responsible. He was later deported from the United States in accordance with an Alford plea bargain.[

After his deportation, 21 countries denied him entry. He ultimately returned to India and a revived Pune ashram, where he died in 1990. Rajneesh's ashram, now known as OSHO International Meditation Resort and all associated intellectual property, is managed by the Zurich registered Osho International Foundation (formerly Rajneesh International Foundation). Rajneesh's teachings have had a notable impact on Western New Age thought, and their popularity has increased markedly since his death.

Što se dogodi kad jedan mistik komentira pjesme jednog poznatog pjesnika? Dogodi se jedna ovako zanimljiva knjiga puna mudrih misli o ljubavi, radu, životu, prijateljstvu, užitku, seksualnosti, spoznaji i svemu onome što preokupira misli današnjeg čovjeka. Osho se divi ali i kritizira izraz poznatog pjesnika Kahlila Gibrana, kroz pjesme iz njegovog djela "Prorok". Osho secira svako misao izrečenu od strane pjesnika, nadopunjuje, kritizira ili se jednostavno složi uz svoju neku zanimljivu priču na sličnu temu. Kod Osha mi se sviđa što je politički nekorektan pa udara onako kako misli. Kod njega vrijedi ona "pričaj istinito (svoju istinu) pa makar cijeli svijet propo". Kroz ovo djelo se može vidjeti razlika u poimanju svijeta jednog mistika i jednog pjesnika, iako se obojica zanimaju za iste stvari, tajne čovjekova postojanja i vječna pitanja života. Kako je i sam napisao Osho je prvih sedam godina života proveo na selu, uz baku i djeda, gdje nije bilo škole niti sličnih institucija te sam naglašava koliko je tih prvih sedam godina bitno za čovjekovo kasnije poimanje svijeta. Osho je stvorio sam svoj svijet, čovjek jake mašte, jake misli, jakog srca. Zanimljivo je kako je još u ranoj dobi na formularima u izrazito religioznoj Indiji odbijao ispunjavati formulare na kojima je trebao označiti svoju vjeroispovijest. On govori o tome da je Ljubav bog, a ne da je Bog ljubav kako propovijedaju sve glavne svjetske religije. Sviđa mi se kako Osho ali i Gibran razmišljaju o ljubavi, odnosima između ljudi koji se vole, ali i njegova kritika institucije braka kao institucionalizirane prostitucije. Kao što je i sama riječ ljubav prostituirana, kao možda niti jedna , moguće uz riječ pravda. Osho ne odbacuje život, ne odbacuje iskustvo, ne odbacuje užitak nego smatra da te stvari služe kao vodič za upoznavanje nečeg uzvišenijeg. Slažem se. Ima jako puno mudrih kratkih priča koje je Osho ubacio kroz misli o pjesnikovim stihovima. Ova knjiga je nastala kao prijepis transkripta Oshovih govora.
Osho ima koncept Zorba-Buddha, koncept o cjelovitosti čovjeka kad postigne taj sklad između Zorbe (užitka u životu,plesa, radosti, ljubavi) i Buddhe (duhovnost, misaonost) jer smatra da jedino tako čovjek može osjetiti svu puninu života i usitinu živjeti. Za njega prošlost i budućnost ne postoje, a sve što jest i bivstvuje je sadašnjost. Za pjesnika Gibrana on ne smatra da je postigao tu cjelovitost.

"Sve moje knjige su na toj crnoj listi. Njihovo čitanje je izravan i brz put u pakao. Ja sam, zapravo jako sretan što ćete svi vi biti zajedno sa mnom u paklu. Pretvorit ćemo ga u raj. لا اتفق مع بعض ما ذكر في هذا الكتاب ... الحقيقة ان اوشو لم يكتب اي كتب انما كل تلك الكتب هي من كتابات تلاميذه ... فاحيانا لا اصدق ما يقال خصوصا عندما يذم اوشو الاديان ومن يعتقد بالإله... وما فهمته انه لا يحب رجال الدين من المشايخ والقديسين والحاخامات ... ربما لانهم حاولوا تقييد حريات الغير. باسم الإله والدين والله بريئ من ذلك...

النبي كتاب جميل لجبران خليل جبران
هو كتاب لايدعوا الى دين
أخذ شخصية نبي من خياله واسماها "المصطفى" ،

لم يصدقه قومه وعندما حان موعد مغادرته ادركوا حقيقته وطالبوه بخطبه يتبعون فيها تعاليمه فتكلم عن كل شيء " الحب، العمل ، الثياب، السكن ،الشرائع والقوانين" -

أوشو يوافقه أحيانا ويعطي هذه الأمور عمقا أكبر وأحيانا لايوافقه ويعارضه بشدة ويفسر الأمور من تجربته -

كما ان الكتاب يحتوي على ماحدث معه في أمريكا وبونا من معارضه من السياسيين ورجال الدين ومحاولتهم لسجنه
وفيه رد على الاشاعات التي كالوها له خصومه

I don’t know how to review this, and I can’t even express my opinion on it. I may say it is a way of life Osho is telling us to be aware of but I may be not so much exact in the term. To be short it is important to get at least his whole teaching in being always one and total, never to live in fragments.

Its an interesting take on the timeless wisdom of Khalil Gibran. Perspective always enriches, hence I suggest one to go through the reflections with little emphasis on agreement or disagreement.

I completely regret buying this book and do not recommend it.

I have recently just read The Prophet, by Gibran Khalil. It was a great book, it discussed spirituality and humanity in wonderful ways.

However, this book did not reflect The Prophet by Gibran Khalil or did it justice in its interpretation. I found it boring in material, it included too much repetition, mentioned stories of unrelated matters, and most of all this book is unnecessarily offensive to all worldly religions be it Islam, Judaism or Budisim. Which is completely against the purpose of the book it’s based on.

Love and marriage? Two totally different things. Love is bigger than marriage. Love is not marriage. Marriage is a social contract. Never saw it that way, but I suppose it makes sense. Can't confine love into one person. Love is like the air, like the ocean. It flows in and out. Sometimes there is more sometimes there is less. One day you love one person, the next day you love another. Why didn't anybody tell me this before?

أوشو ذاك الفيلسوف الوجودي المتصوف صاحب النظرة الثاقبة والنقد اللاذع ذو الفكر الخلاق لا يجامل في كتابته احد ولا يرمق أحدا في مديح أو ذكر وكتابه رؤى جبران خليل جبران في النبي يعتبر من أهم الدراسات الفلسفية النقدية لفكر الأديب جبران خليل جبران وقد أشار أوشو إلى نقاط الضعف والقوة في هذا الكتاب مبينا الفرق بين الشاعر والفيلسوف استمتعت في قراءته وأنصح بمؤلفات أوشو وجبران.

This is a collection of Osho's teachings.

I did not learn anything, but a good energy throughout the day.

The book was written in 1978, and in today's world some elements Osho's speaking may be misleading.
