Don't get this for your first "learn to draw" book. Use a different book to learn the fundamental basics. When you have those early basics in your pocket and need to branch out your creativity a bit, then pick this book up.

Plenty of awesome drawings in here! Sure, some that didn't appeal to me also, but every book is like that. I found this to be a great motivational book for getting more creative and less uptight about drawing.
