This book is dedicated to my stock trading mentor,Nicolas Darvas. Although I never met him, he has taught me more about stock trading and investing than anyone else. I hope this book does justice to his investing principles and memory.

A very short read and can be completed in one sitting. There wasn't much to take away from this book except the last chapter where he summarizes the rules of Nicolas Darvas system. It was more like a trader's journey and narrates how his system evolved.
I came into a stack of finance & investing self-help books and will be doing some skim-reads and reviews. I judge these books along 3 axis: Competence / Usefulness to me / Would recommend. Books containing misleading information and factual errors tend to get 1 star. Books that are well-written, but not particularly useful to me get 3 stars. The best of the best get 5 stars. Now to this book.
COMPETENCE - Low* USEFUL TO ME - No RECOMMEND - No JUDGEMENT - 1 star
*Author takes ages to come to the point and the point is: "buy stocks that are in an uptrend during a prolonged bull market". Ho-hum.
I would say this is a good book very short that gives perspective on the Darvis way of investing. It won’t give you exact practices like actions to make on technical charting, but it will give you the principle in which you should act to follow the Darvis method which will make you successful in the marketso overall, if the Darvis method is not known to you already, it is a great read
