Helped me so much with my mental health!

Feeling powerful! The book was an advocate for TRUTH- our only effective weapon against the lies of the enemy. If not careful, we let these lies seep into our minds, clear a path and let ourselves becomes accustomed to the ungodly, deceptive thought patterns that will one day overtake our lives. It is not only dangerous, but deadly, robbing us of our victory in Christ. Deception is the heart of all enemy strategy. But what we should realize is that it is the only power the enemy has over the believer. And he is operating from a DESPERATE position of defeat because he knows he already lost. If this is not encouraging enough, we continue to wallow in our guilt, we allow ourselves to stand in a place of condemnation rather than tap into the grace that God has freely given us.
“Even if you use discipline and willpower to resist a habit for an extended period of time, if you don’t address the root deception, you’ll eventually just go back to the habit again.” — Target Audience reached. I have been discouraged having tried and failed, trying to get rid of my old ways. It has always been a battle for me. The feelings of defeat, and thinking “I am never going to be able to change my ways,” are mere lies uttered by the enemy and will only compound the problem if I believed in them. I was bound to fall again if I did not change the condition of my heart or fail to consistently align my ways to His. The strongholds binding my life must be broken. And the only way to do demolish such is to renew our minds with His truth, to walk with the ultimate bondage breaker- The Spirit. With this, the Word reveals that the enemy is powerless against us if he cannot deceive us.
“The Holy Spirit speaks the truth about our identity, about our divine inheritance of freedom, about the authority and power we carry, and about the purpose we have.” When we walk in the Spirit, it is difficult for the enemy to lie to me, to us. One day I found myself failing at all fronts, but today, I resolve to wield the weapons God has given His children to combat deception, namely the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and finally the sword of the spirit. In God’s authority, we have the power to destroy, completely ANNIHILATE, these lying, puny entities, as Ephesians 6:12 says “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms". God has given us everything we need to claim in His victory!
Note: Given his personal history of generational involvement with occult practices through his grandfather, the author places strong emphasis on demonology and maintains that true believers cannot be demon-possessed. If you are interested in themes of spiritual warfare, generational struggles, and freedom in Christ, this section may be especially meaningful to you. I chose to discuss only the aspects of the book that I found personally meaningful and relevant to my life.

The author did a great job of taking complex topics and breaking them down into easy to read and understandable chapters. There are so many scripture references, some of which are discussed in terms to their misuse and I appreciated that.
I did purchase the study guide, however I didn’t finish it. The format felt like a school course book, in which you read the chapters and then answer questions, essentially seeing if you know and understand what you read. Some of the questions did have a personal reflection element to them, but it was more read and respond. While I can appreciate that, the format didn’t work for me and I was struggling to do it. Not completing the study guide made the book easier to read. So glad I picked this up, it’s one I’ll be referencing in the future.

The teaching in this book is clear and scriptural: the Holy Spirit is the bondage breaker and He lives in you! Easy to read and systematic, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a life of abundance, by identifying and removing deception, the root of bondage.

The author is so transparent, his failures and triumphs are shared. And everything is back by God’s word this is a book a plan to keep the reference and share with others.

This book took some familiar topics and presented them in clarifying language. It enhanced understanding, improved ease of application, and explained things that may have been confusing. It is inspiring and transforming. It addresses common areas of bondage making it relevant for all believers.

The author listed many ways of spiritual attack and also demonization in our life. Some manifestations are also being explained with medical conditions.

Notes from chapter 12-13. Christians cannot be demon possessed. Unbelievers can be demon possessed. Believers can be attacked, affected, influenced, and deceived by demons. The holy bible is the ultimate authority. Christians have authority over demons. They must obey. Christians can be tormented from the outside. Deliverance from a stronghold (powerful deception). A deception is a lie that is believed.
Luke 10:20 NLT But don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.
John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
The books is well written. I think every believer should read this book.

Really eye-opening book that's completely Spirit-filled. Ik some of the author's teachings are questionable but this book is really well written and backed by loads of scripture that he references on nearly every page. Definitely recommend for anyone who feels as though they're going through spiritual warfare/ struggling with addiction or strongholds etc;

I listened to the audiobook and I found this book really helpful! I think it touches on a lot of topics which most Christian’s deals with and it helped me to consider how to overcome some of the thing I deal with. I definitely took away a lot of knowledge to apply to my life.
