Really interesting, I agree with him in a lot of ways, although not exactly what I was looking for in my research I was left with a lot of information that could be contrasted and used reading the intentional fallacy.
Although I do believe talking about the artist is a integral part of analyzing the work and should not be left out specially when the aesthetic object is a socially commentary, critic or based on a personal experience (that's when I don't think his theory would apply since the meaning do the work radiates in the artist background therefore it's commentary and appreciation should go hand in hand, or as he puts it in the intentional fallacy, in case it's needed) he also explores that, but that ideas don't resonate with my thinking fully but that's what's fun about philosophy isn't it??
There were some points that I struggled to understand especially because I was reading it kinda fast and taking notes on what interested me for my projects so I didn't exactly paused to understand them (although the article from Stanford helped cleared some of them after)
