About the author

Grant Stone

Like most of his generation, Grant Stone blames his parents. In this case, that's a very good thing. His father was an English teacher, and his mother taught 2nd grade, so his profession as the author of "Everything Zing" shouldn't come as a surprise... even though it's taken almost four decades to realize.

More importantly, his parents took their three sons (Grant being the oldest) on endless summer vacations. Camping all across America as a kid... is it any wonder he caught an unquenchable case of wanderlust?

Grant graduated with a triple Business degree (Accounting, Marketing & Management), but his career has always focused on writing and exploration. For over a decade, he's worked as the Editor on Crystal Cruises' luxury vessels, traveling to hundreds of destinations in over 145 countries.

This was a very imaginative and fun story. It started right in the action, which was a bit confusing as there were few explanations for what was happening. Once you get in a few chapters and begin to understand what is going on, the story becomes an exciting adventure.

The story was full of great messages. Everything from the need to keep your inner child alive to being truthful to yourself to the downfalls of being materialistic, there is a message for everyone to take to heart. All of the messages are conveyed through the actions of the story, without anything being preached or thrown in your face.

Part of what made this such an exciting story was the fact that you never knew what was coming next. The fantasy world was truly amazing, and the possibilities were endless. I loved the excitement and adventures that kept occurring. I could rarely guess what the next twist would be be, and instead just enjoyed the journey.

Overall, this was a very exciting story. This was definitely a series book, but it was still an exciting standalone story. Now that I know the set up of the world, I bet the next book will be even more fun because there won’t be the confusion in the beginning.

Zing is truly ama-zing! I never thought a story could top Narnia or Potter, but "Everything Zing" did. The premise is brilliant, the characters are fascinating, and the plot is great. As the dedication reads, this is the perfect read for "every grown-up Muggle who still believes in magic."
