Bloody Royals #1

No Such King

Rate this book
A puppet, a prince, and a playboy. One arranged marriage. Three men I must keep at arm's length. Atticus Dupont has been watching me from a distance, controlling my life like he controls the seedy criminal underground. He longs to own my mind, body, and soul. Leo Winthrop is willing to do whatever it takes to protect me from the horrors of this castle, even if it means being cruel and pushing me away. and Prince Augustus? He's a reluctant royal that would rather sleep his way through court than be forced into an arranged marriage with me. I fled the kingdom four years ago, planning to never return. But the king is dead. The kingdom is in chaos. My duty makes it impossible to walk away. One thing I know for I have to open my cracked heart, because this crown is too heavy for one lover to bear.

*4.5* “I wonder if the prospect of Christine enjoying me more than you could push a man to those extremes.”

“It just means I need to eat her pussy until she forgets your name.”

This story begins three years after the cliffhanger in No Such Fling. Must be read in order!

As a modern monarchy/fairytale, there are no cookie-cutter heroes or heroines in this story. They are all wounded in some way by life.

I LOVED how Christine takes back her power in this story.

“What if I don’t deserve him? What if I don’t deserve any of you? What if I’ve become a monster?”

“Then I guess I’m a monster catcher, baby,” he whispered.

This author takes all the elements of a RH and molds them into something that feels genuine. Not everyone likes each other, not everyone wants to share. This is not simply a sex filled romp with a thin plot. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of heat, but no actual group action yet.

MFMM
Dual pov
Mystery/action/political intrigue
Arranged marriage
No ow/om (once the relationship is established)

There are significant issues between this “romantic” group, but the writing, the character development, the dialogue, the angst, and heat level were written so well!

I was a little put off by the graphic descriptions of how much of a manwhore the prince/August was. However, as the story develops, his character arc is excellent. Once he has a relationship with Christine, he isn’t with anyone else.

Another brutal cliffhanger on this one!

DNF or get even close. I skimmed to see some stuff

Douchbag aka Prince Augustus that is the h best friend from childhood used her feelings for him against her to manipulate her.

She get brutally raped set up by his father.

He claims that he loves her…..Oh and they are arranged to be married so of course he doesn’t want that and wants to FUCK OW instead… oh but wait he loves her😍… yeah that sounds like love.

She runs away for 3 yrs after the rape and instead of finding her he spends those 3 years high, drunk and fucking EVERY OW that he sees. How nice🙄 of him. …
The scene opens with him and OW in a explicit oral sex scene.. quite detailed. What a gentleman. Oh Boy I’m really feeling his love for her now 😳 I can tell he misses her!

Oh and he’s not even considered the “playboy” of the harem 😳

This is RH but when one guy is such a douche slut bag and we get full OW scenes 🤮 no other harem men can make up for this ass wipe. No thanks there aren’t enough pages written that can redeem him in my eyes not when his “love” so far has been expressed by fucking OW.

I've loved this author's words book after book... this one took it to an entirely new level. F*cckkk this was good! She has weaved a masterful story filled with passion, mystery, action, emotion and so much more! This story is addicting in the best of ways!
We met an amazing lineup of characters in No Such Fling.. but in No Such King she has given them to us on a gold f*cking platter. We instantly fall for them and can't wait to see what these four have in store us.

After 3 years, Christine is back in Aldrich. She wants to leave just as fast as she did the first time. May not be as easy as she thought. Some want her to remain at the castle, some want her to scurry away back to where she came, some will want to make her heart bleed, some will want to try to piece her brokenness back together, some will stop at nothing to get what they feel is their due, some will cause her pain for their selfish gain.

Dude, do yourself a favor and start this trilogy NOW!! You will not be disappointed. Hell, it was so freaking good!! You want mafia? You got it! Want a royal story? Hell yeah! Bodyguard romance? Umm, yes please! How about why choose? Holy hotness, YES! Arranged marriage? Only the best kind!

Seriously read this! Add to your tbr! Do all the things!

Wow, this was even worse than the prequel. I really can’t with the writing and way of storytelling. Nope, absolutely not.

An enthralling, ominous, dark and twisted beginning to what is certainly going to be a royally epic trilogy. Coralee June weaves an intoxicating tale, one of the corrupt and toxic world of powerful royals and their unfortunate pawns, enchanting characters with layers and secrets, and overflowing with heartaching angst! It's turbulent, it's raw, it's gritty and twisted- and it's utterly addictive. A ravenous page turner that had me on the edge of my seat, my heart in my throat, and my heart in pieces. There will be blood, there will be heartbreak, and there will be secrets. What a a powerful beginning! Hang on tight- this is going to be a wild ride, and I can't wait for more.

Also DADDICUS is mine (and yes, I call him Daddicus).

This official first book for Christine, August, Atticus & Leo was all we needed it to be!! The king is dead & after being gone for 3 years she’s back, & only some know details on why Christine left her childhood love behind. & then come to find out there’s even more secret plans working behind the scenes! I can’t wait to see what this means for everyone but I love how their dynamic is turning out!

Wow. This was bad. Like, really bad. The only saving grace of this book was Atticus, and even he was bad about a quarter of his time on the page. Buddy reading this with a friend who is not on Goodreads.
And yet, just like the novela, this book was delicious. Not in a good way, not even a somewhat weirdly sexy way. In a bad way. Like enjoying bad licorice.
The characters were bad. The story? bad. The romance? VERY bad. The writing? SO BAD.

Christine was pathetic. The back cover told me I'm going to get a "strong female protagonist." But what was this woman? Sad, mainly. She has no friends other than her three future boyfriends, is filled with trauma and doubt, super self-conscious about her life, and for the life of her can't get a hint. Oh, but she throws knives and assassinates people! Yeah, like, four times in the books. Want to count how many times she self deprecated herself?
I genuinely don't understand what the male leads see in her, other than Augustus maybe, since she's his childhood friend. But the other two???
Speaking of Augustus, the main lead in this book, he is trash. He's supposed to be hot trash, but he's just trash. He is controlling, but not in a hot way. He's demanding, but not in a hot way. He's pathetic, and not in a hot way. He starts the book as trash, and we're supposed to grow to love him as he matured into a weirdly possessive boyfriend and SOMEWHAT competent king, but it falls flat. He's just trash. Trash trash trash.
Onto the creep, we have Leo. Leo is super cute. He's attentive, protective, and always there to protect Christine (not Augustus, whom he is supposed to protect) when she needs him. But, oh no, we can't just have a cute bodyguard × aristocratic lady romance, can we?
Leo is seven years older than Christine.
They meet when she is sixteen.
Yeah. He flirted with her back then, too. And bought her chocolate and flowers, then told her she deserves a man who'll give her exactly that. And, yes, the story happens when Christine is twenty-one, but IT'S STILL WEIRD.
I don't have much more to say about Mr. Creepy, so let's talk about the saving grace of this story. Atticus. My love. He should be saved from this novel and thrown into his own mafia romance. I'd read the shit out of him. He's stereotypical for his genre, he doesn't bring much new stuff to the table, and he had his weird moments which were extremely out of character, but he's a breath of fresh air when it comes to this book.
I feel a little guilty saying so little about my favorite character in the book, but really, he is a subpar character at best. He just shone because the rest were actual garbage.

There was barely a story here. The NOVELA had more plot than this book. King died and then a forced marriage . That's it. All the rest of the book contains the four main characters visiting each other's rooms, having sex and yelling. And it's not like this story is character-centered because calling it that would be a mockery to character-centered stories.

The romance was awful. I already mentioned this in Christine's part of the review, but why the hell were the three men in love with her in the first place. Augustus, maybe, Atticus, I GUESS, but Leo? Leo?? No reason to be in love with Christine other than "he just is, I guess". And the romance / spice scenes? Other than Atticus', there was nothing to write home about. Maybe other than Augustus disrespecting Christine's boundaries, which was fucked.

I'm not going to even start talking about the writing. It was bad. Really bad. So bad. Augustus cursed like a 15 year old, and that's the least of the offenses.

TLDR: This book is bad. I'm so excited to read the next book.

OMG!!! This is an epic start to The King trilogy and is CoraLee June at her best!

Prince August of Aldrich may be an arrogant playboy but he was once Lady Christine Abernathy’s best friend, until she was forced to flee, now four years later is it possible to find that childhood friendship again?

This book has EVERYTHING! Intrigue, history and three hot as h€ll wannabe hero’s, but Christine didn’t come back to Abernathy the shrinking violet she left!

I loved the way this played out, the secrets that are unfolding and the buildup of their relationship, this was a page turner and before you know it you’ve read it all without realising it.

This was such an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CoraLee, now I can’t wait for No Such Queen!

Coralee June can take any trope and genre and just own it in her impeccable style. No Such King has so many dimensions. A royal romance with arranged marriage, conspiracy, secrets and suspense. A why choose romance with three gorgeous, imperfect and intense men who will ruin you. A romantic suspense with a brave, beautiful, broken and bad@&& heroine. The writing is incredible. The plot is genius. The execution is flawless. The emotions are raw and messy. The chemistry is kinky and depraved. And I am completely obsessed with this world.

This is first book of a trilogy.Christine Abernathy of the House of Rose fled the Kingdom of Aldrich with help of the queen after she was hurt in the most horrible way. The evil king's death made her return. But by the fate's cruel play, she finds herself engaged with her old best friend and the new king, Augustus. The kingdom is at risk. Enemies are close. The king of the criminal underworld Atticus Dupont wants her and her darkness. Her old friend and bodyguard Leo is obsessed with her too and he was there when she was broken. Christine is no longer the weak person. She has trained herself into a killing machine. But the heart is an entirely different issue.

I love how Coralee June weaves a tale of an unputdownable tale through her words. This is set in an imaginary kingdom in modern world and the setting was like a chess board. Now I cannot choose who is my favorite but isn't that the beauty of why choose romance? August went on a self destructive mode after Christine disappeared. He is a disappointment to his family, a manwh0re, a drug addict, a man wasting life in debauchery. But now he has been thrown into the role of the king. May be he wasn’t serious before, but Christine's reappearance and the engagement made something turn inside him. My heart aches for the king who is trying hard but doesn't believe himself to be good for the woman he loves.

Then there is Atticus. He rules the underworld and has endless power but he is close to royalty too. He is ruthless and vicious and dangerous. He is the darkness personified and nothing ignites his wrath more than someone trying to hurt Christine. He is the perfect possessive antihero and my antihero loving heart is gone for him. He is being cunning and patient with Christine but he feels the dark side of her soul to the deepest degree and that is a solid link between them.

Then there is Leo. He may be the simple guard but he saved her and protected her years ago when she was in that nightmare. Christine is an amazing woman. She is full of contradictions. When emotionally or physically attacked, she goes into a numb dark place in her mind that allows her to face any danger in a terrifying way. But the trauma, the pain, the heartbreak, the anger..they didn't go away. They are just locked. She is compassionate and caring and she still holds her sweetness somewhere inside. But I am afraid that Aldrich will break her again. There is a massive scary shocking cliffhanger and if I didn’t love Coralee June for this epic story..I would have hated her forever! The chess pieces are falling and everything is in shambles..

PS WHY IS THIS REVIEW SO LONG AND WHY DO I STILL FEEL THAT I HAVEN’T SAID ENOUGH ABOUT THIS STORY'S GREATNESS?

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Coralee June!

No Such King is the first book in the Bloody Royals series and tells the story of Christine and the three men Augustus, Atticus and Leo.

After reading the novella set in the Bloody Royals series, No Such Fling, I was so interested in Christine’s story. What was going to happen to her, did she change as a character, who did she end up with, … I was so excited to read No Such King, and when I finally got my hands on the book, I was so sad when I already finished it. Coralee June is such an amazing author, and her books leave me wanting more. I wanted more of Christine and her men, and luckily I will get more in the second book, haha.

No Such King takes place 3 years after No Such Fling. Christine is older and she’s changed. When she returns to Aldrich, she finally sees Augustus, Atticus and Leo again… She wants to leave, but they make her stay. I really loved reading in Christine’s POV, I love her as a character. She’s relatable and I love her different sides. As for the men, I’m not sure who’s my favourite yet. Every man has different traits that I like, so I’m curious to see which one will be my favourite after finishing the trilogy. I did like all of them in No Such King though.

No Such King was such an amazing first book, and it gave some high expectations for the next book in the series, No Such Queen. As I mentioned before, Coralee June is amazing. I love how she comes up with these crazy characters and interesting stories. No Such King was so well-written and it was hard to put this book down! I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a reverse harem with a royal setting. Please read the synopsis No Such Fling for trigger warnings, this book has some difficult scenes in it such as r*pe.

STOP! No seriously stop. Go read “No Such Fling”1st. If you already have then peasants you may proceed, prepare to bow before your new King.

To quote a famous author 😉you are in for a “Deliriously perfect, dangerous and decadent” …. ride. Do buckle up!

The deathly circumstances that caused Christine to flee have come back to huant her and when she is summoned to return to the kingdom she is in for the fight of her life and her heart.

King to be Augustas has been busy burying his sorrows in alcohol drugs and women. None of which have helped him battle his demons and when he learns the truth of why Christine ran in the dead of the night he struggles to become the person she really needs. And his self doubt at being a good King only adds to his anxiety.

Although Christine has physically learned to fight for her life, emotionally she needs the support of all three of her men to hold her together, but which one really has her best interests at heart and who really wants to protect her at all costs? And who is prepared to do “anything” to make her only his?

This story seemed to be ambling along at a comfortable pace without the “normal” level of darkness I have come to expect with this Author and just when I was confident I could see where this story was going, she ripped the rug right out from under me 😲. Death, lies and betrayal , hey don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

Long live the King?

"Obedient when it counts and deadly when it's necessary."

This book takes off 3yrs later after "No Such Fling." When you thought that ending was crazy and couldn't get enough, just wait until to dive into this one!

3yrs later and Christine Abernathy is back for the funeral of The King. Having been strongly encouraged to come by the Queen herself, she soon discovers that she will not be able to leave once again.

When August, Leo and Atticus realize she is back, they all have conflicting feelings. August doesn't know anything about why shy left and wants Christine to suffer. His playboy ways and drug habits don't make him fit to be any sort of King, but when he discovers the truth - he does everything he can to be the King Christine and his kingdom deserve.

"What if I don't deserve him? What is I don't deserve any of you? What if I've become a monster?"
----"Then I guess I'm a monster catcher, baby."

This book is a wild ride of emotions and hidden truths. Christine is the best type of character. Having learned to never feel vulnerable again, she comes back in pieces of the girl she used to be. Atticus, while he stayed in the dark knew exactly what Christine was up to all those years and is more certain than ever how compatible they are. Leo can't offer her a Kingdom of any kind like the others, but he can offer her what they can't - normalcy.

When she comes to a conclusion that she needs all of them - that they all speak to different parts of her soul, will she be able to get what she wants? Or will this only be the beginning of the end? And when Nathan Croft, brother of the late Lord Geralt comes to collect what was promised to their family, will she EVER find peace? Not to mention, theirs change on the horizon and people want a King they can believe in - will Christine be able to keep the ones she loves safe?

I loved this book so much. The cliffhanger left your jaw open wide and thinking of crazy things I can't wait to discover in the next book! This is a must read and I can already tell I will be adding this series to my favorites!!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 3/5
*First person POV (August and Christine Only) - I enjoyed this aspect even though we got commentary from all of the characters. I think book two will be Atticus and Christine. Maybe?
*Fast Burn
*MFMM Romance
*Ends on cliffhanger

ALL THE STARS!!! I already want more because I can't stop thinking about every little nugget in this book. I was swept away and totally lost while reading. I had no idea what time or practically what day it was when I had to pull my head back out of the book. Yes, I was that completely lost within the pages. Saying I loved it doesn't seem worthy enough.

I've been dying to return to the Kingdom of Aldrich after I read the prequel and No Such King broke my expectations out of the water. Lady Christine Abernathy was sent away at the end of the prequel to protect her life, but now that the King is dead she's been summoned back. However, she had no idea what the former Queen had in mind when she stepped back into Aldrich or she might never have returned. There is darkness in the halls and evil reminders she'd rather never think of again, but when she's told she will marry Prince Augustus, the new King, Christine has little choice but to stay. I wasn't sure whether to like Queen Isabella or hate her, perhaps a little of both.

Christine is quite different than when she left years ago and I loved how each new part of her molded to the three different men in her life. While the girl of the past intrigued August, Atticus, and Leo, the woman she is now knocks each of them to their knees and they honestly are thrown by it. Christine may have loved August and been his best friend when they were young, but they have both changed in the years she's been gone. Christine is a phoenix and they were expecting a dove. It's great.

August has great character growth and I love that he steps into the role he was born into, but he wishes that his fiancée was a sweet quiet girl, the girl from his youth...sorry, August, that girl is dead. The joyful girl that Christine once was now has darkness flowing through her veins and Atticus sees the woman behind the royal clothes. Everytime August gets hit with a new truth I could just imagine his huge anime eyes...and speaking of huge things on August....that opening...whew!!

Atticus is the devil's advocate and I loved all of his wiley ways. Christine has a pull towards him for sure, but she also has a duty to uphold and I think she realizes that giving into Atticus will unleash all of her inner demons. Sort of a Hades and Persephone vibe I felt from them, truly delicious. I'm looking forward to getting even more of him and what he will bring to this story, I can't wait.

Then there is her shadow, Leo. The man who seems to push her away at every turn, but also has a savior's complex. Christine dreams of his strong arms the night her life changed, but a normal life with him is impossible, especially now that she lives in the light. Their push and pull is very angsty, but also wonderful to witness and I can't wait for more.

This is not a reverse harem where there is an alpha among the men. This isn't even a story where they all get along, it's a story of angst, murder, and second chances. Where the princess doesn't wait in the tower to be rescued, but instead she becomes the darkness and learns to save herself. No Such King is just the beginning and I'm salivating to return to the world once again.

I have been waiting for this book since I read the prequel to this series as the story was gritty, full of secrets and brutality in the worst case (I hope that the following books will keep level of those two)! I have read only one book by this author - Malice, and it was great and now I have two series I'm looking for!
Lady Christine fled the kingdom of Aldrich three years ago and she wanted to keep herself under the radar of the king, but now everything has changed. The former king died and now his son, August is about to start ruling. Now once again she's in the castle and now she has to start her life here once again after all that happened. Her destiny is to marry the prince, but will it be possible when her feelings are not as clear as they should be, and she's not what it seems at the first sight?
August is a character that surprised me! I did not expect to see so much growth in him, but Ms. June did great in the department - the new king is arising, and still, there will be some hard moments, but in the end, he was a character I could feel in my mind. Atticus, the Monster! Oh my gosh... I have been waiting for his appearance in this book - so dark, so lethal, so powerful man that has his eyes set on one beautiful aim! And last but not least, Leo - I really liked what I got to know about him and here he was truly a shadow, but there is some angst around the interaction between him and Christine that made it amazing!
Please be advised that it's a Reverse Harem book, so there will be no choosing, and in the Bloody Royals series, I don't see any of our male MCs being the prime, which makes me happy as this is not the usual dynamic in this genre!

4.25 stars- there is no time for a back story, it jumps right in where the last book left off. Ends with a cliffy as well. It would have scored higher for me but for a few things. Christine was really triggered by the events at the castle yet she was supposedly a bad ass fighter. I didn't feel the callous cold killer in her- too much love and YA conflict for me to swallow the contract killer angle I think.

Leo- he is confusing:
“The worst,” Leo agreed. “You know, I don’t hate you for killing him. I don’t hate you for leaving. I don’t even hate you for getting me sent to the middle of nowhere.”
I swallowed nervously. “So why do you hate me, Leo?”
He laughed. “Lady Abernathy, I hate you for coming back.”

And Christine:
My most effective weapon was how everyone seemed to underestimate me.

Christine pissed at August and wanting to hurt him:
"I never imagined you’d grow up to be a loser, August.” He grabbed his chest, like I’d wounded him. Stunned, he stared at me, hurt flickering in his gaze for a brief moment before burning with anger.
“Yeah? Well, fuck you too, Christine. I don’t want to marry a heartless bitch, but here we are.”

Atticus is my favorite one, from August's POV:
“Do what, Little Monster?” he whispered so softly I almost didn’t hear him. What the fuck? They had pet names now? I needed a cute name for her. Like 'mine' or 'tightest pussy I’ve ever dicked'."
I have to say August is pretty awful still, evidenced by the above line. Not very loving or creative. So self-absorbed.

Spoiler:
It really bothered me how August was supposedly wracked with guilt about Christine getting raped and yet their first time having sex was all about him dominating her and being rough. Was it supposed to be ok since he was proving to her he wasn't going to treat her any differently? It just read a bit cringy for me.

It sounds like Christine and August had sexy times for a few days and then it stopped with no explanation of why?

I did find this interesting, felt it rang true:
"I had many parts to my soul, and each man brought out a different aspect of it. I liked that I could be a monster with Atticus, though."

The ending was an explosion and it ushers us right into the next story.

What a great story! Following the prequel where Christine has left the kingdom, she has now returned for the funeral of the king. She doesn't plan to stay, as August, who was her best friend and whom she's been in love with, is still angry at her for leaving without explaining, but her plans fall apart. The former Queen wants something from her that she can't refuse, so now she is back at the palace with the 3 men who each hold a piece of her heart. Leo, the guard, who makes her feel safe. Atticus, best friend to August, who makes her feel accepted and August, the new king, is still the boy she fell in love with.

I don't know what else I can say without giving away the story, but I can say that its really good with quite a few surprises that I enjoyed. Christine left the castle at 18, naive and broken, but she's back now and she isn't that broken little girl anymore. August, who has been the partying playboy is now stepping up to the plate to be a better man for Christine. Leo is willing to stay in the background as long as he gets to protect her and Atticus has an agenda of his own. The one thing the three men can agree on is keeping Christine safe and happy. There are still some secrets that threaten everyone and this book ends on one hell of a cliffhanger. I usually wait until all the books are released before reading a series of books that end with cliffhangers, but I received an advanced copy of this book and I did so because each release is only a month apart. So while I absolutely recommend this book, just remember that it's the first of three and this one and the next will end on a cliffhanger. So you've been warned!

Yep, I am going to need more of this world and Christine. I was absolutely hooked, for this read was very addicting. Be prepared to just set some time so you can finish this book. Because I promise that once you start you are not going to want to stop.

So No Such King is the first of the trilogy and if the rest of the series is anything to go by this may just become my favorite of hers. The Bullets of course is my all time favorite. Just a note if you have not read that series, I highly recommend it.

Christine and her men, Yes girl, I need them. You will fall for them just like I did. This story has action, heartache, twists and turns, spice and touch of tragedy, so a well written book with some darkness added in there.

All I can say is well done Cora, you have once again done an amazing job!!!

One thing important for me in romance is chemistrybetween the charachters, and Coralee hand delivered them in this book.

From No Such Fling, the prelude of this new trilogy, we meet four complicated charachters. When their teenage innocence, specially Christine was broken, the growth of their charachters was strong and their building steamy chemistry was intense.

August, the crown prince with abusive father and a future crown bearing down his teenage shoulder. But also spoiled br@t with golden spoon turn King who's trying everything in his power to redeemed him self. An obsessive lover yet at the same humble enough to know he's love isnt soully his.
Christine, the orphanage. The royal lady. The girl with a crush to the prince, unexplainable desire toward the villain, and swoon over the protective bodyguard turn scared, broken yet fearless and stronger through her demise like a Phoenix.
Atticus is the villain you'll love. Even in his teenage time, he's the darkness you want to surround you. This monster recognized the little beautiful monster in Christine and nurture it to let her the freedom.
Leo is a protective swoon induce bodyguard. Always attentive from a far. Always there in the shadow. I cant wait to see him finally unleash his desire.

No Such King brings you dark reverse harem romance, but the chemistry, that burning embers of desire and angst between the four of them.. THAT IS THE POISON I LOVE FROM THIS BOOK!

3.5 stars

This was a "it's not you, it's me" book.

I liked the raunchiness of the interactions and the jealousy among the MMCs. I found Atticus especially cool. The differences between the guys makes it more appealing in that they cater to different needs for the FMC. However...I think I'm losing interest in the whole reverse harem genre...or at least for now.

It's not easy to write a book where as a reader, the "sharing" by the guys is plausible. I found it a bit predictable, especially since I read and really liked Malice - also by CJ. I liked it enough to finish book 1 but not enough to keep going on to read book 2.

So, if you like reverse harem, it's not a bad installment. I'm just not in the mood for generous "sharing" guys right now.

After reading the prequel I was just excited to dive into this new world. Let me tell you book one blew me away!!! Yassss Queen!! Both CoraLee & Christine deserve a crown! Let me tell you, you are not ready for the amazingness that is this book!

So so fucking good! I cannot. I repeat cannot wait for book two! Christine is, I don’t even have words for how much I love her character. Atticus could kidnap me any damn day of the week! Seriously come get me! Leo… I’m unsure but can’t wait to see how his character grows. & lastly August… he showed tremendous growth in this book but still has a long ways to go.

The ending of this book had me screaming! Please please don’t make us wait too long before book two! I need the rest of their story!

Amazing as per usual!

Coralee does it again! This book was devoured in a day like most of her books are for me. The men are well written and make you fall in love with them. The main character is strong but also has a lot of depth and development. I can’t wait for the next book in the series after that ending! Thanks again for a wonderful read CoraLee. ❤️

No Such King is the first book in the Bloody Royals Trilogy. I started reading this book on the day it was downloaded to my Kindle. I kinda read things bass ackwards since I was supposed to start with No Such Fling. But I found out I just could have started with this book anyway. No Such Fling had a little bit more to tell about the story.

This is August, the Crown Prince, Atticus Dupont “is the villain that you love to hate”, Leo Winthrop, the guard, Lady Christine Abernathy’s story. No Such King is a reverse harem series.

August’s father was abusive, His mother, Queen Isabelle wasn’t the motherliest woman.

CoraLee June writes a great romance! I loved reading this book, the start of a new series. Once I started reading, I didn’t put this book down. It was a gripping story. There is intrigue, twists and turns, hotness too.

In simple words. I loved this book! 5 STARS for me!

I loved it. It was addicting with the different men, Augustus (King), Leo (royal guard), and Atticus (King of the underworld). I’m addicted to this book and I am so thankful to receive an ARC for it. It was everything a Coralee June book should be. You have mystery, how the king died, and who could possibly be funding a rebellion against the new king. You also have these men fighting over Christine but they also realize that she doesn’t just need one of them she needs all of them because each man calls to a part of her soul. I loved this book and I am extremely excited to see how the rest of the series goes. There is a cliffhanger at the end of this book and it will leave you wondering WTF?!?
