In life, people are brought together under a variety of circumstances-some intentionally and some by chance. It is 1951 when Jacky, a beautiful ex-commando sergeant with the kind of body men dream about on a regular basis, is teamed up with three young men to conduct a special mission. As Bill, Eric, Arch, and Jacky board a yacht to begin their operation, each has no idea they are all about to become heroes. The schooner, commanded by a three-star admiral, sets sail to find a missing plane that may uncover evidence of World War II traitors who have evaded justice-until now. After the traitors are captured and turned over to the FBI, the yacht continues to Chicago, where Jacky is summoned by Scotland Yard to find four kidnapped girls-three of them daughters of members of Parliament. Jacky is in her element-she knows the kidnapper. As she and the men head for Ireland, their mission to capture the leader and find the girls leads them straight into the midst of a prostitution ring. Against all odds, Jacky must prove to everyone around her that no matter what, she will always find a way to defeat her opponents.
I received this book as a giveaway from Goodreads. I found it hard going. Too much unwarranted description of things that weren't necessary. Could have been a lot shorter. I lost interest. Must have been very tongue in cheek as it was a boys own story- everybody too good, too clever, too attractive and too successful. Very idealistic macho outcomes and simplistic dialogue. I'm sorry but I was bored.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately I was unable to get into the book. I was unable to get through it and therefore did not finish it. It was all over the place, and hard to follow. Not to mention the grammatical and punctuation errors present throughout all the chapters. I understand and appreciate the hard work that goes into writing, however this book was not for me.
