A very useful little book with excellent step by step instructions and very nice illustrations and examples (although the photo quality isn’t super). This is the sort of book that makes me excited about trying something new. I’m ire I’ll refer to it in future. In principle, printmaking is quite straightforward but it requires lots of practice! If you’re in Britain, this book is full of useful information and sources, but since it was published in 2011 it’s probably time for an updated edition.
This is a great little book on the basics of linocut and block printing. Covers different methods like reduction printing and includes some interesting project ideas in the final chapter. Ideas not step by step directions for creating a nearly identical copy of the authors work.
Anyone thinking of investigating lino printing as a hobby should definitely get this book. It covers everything you need to know and has some beautiful and inspiring images as examples.
Brilliant, technical and design overview. Lots of tricks and tips that I needed to know. Would be 5 stars but the photo quality is a bit 1995. Delighted they didn't spend loads on images & make the book twice the price - but v basic camera work.
Also bk is quite slim, but there is loads of information in it. More than I expected when I picked it up.
