Had to read this for one of my courses! Not my area of interest but easy to read. found it very conservative in some parts!

This is a strong interdisciplinary edited collection. It combines health education, community organization and sociology to provide an understanding of the collective nature of health, fitness and sickness. Instead of individual 'problems,' health becomes a matter of class, race and environment.

This is a strong book for upper undergraduates and postgraduate students. It is also useful for researchers requiring interdisciplinary case studies, particularly in the United State.
