Jenna would have preferred a night in to celebrate her birthday alone, but her sister had other plans. Mortified, she sits in the strip club, guzzling drinks to cover her embarrassment. Yet the sexy stripper with the dark eyes appealed to her in a way that she couldn't deny.
Jacob knew this was the worst undercover investigation he had ever been on. He hated stripping- women were animals! But he found himself instantly drawn to the woman sitting directly in front of the stage, making it much harder to concentrate on his job.
A delicious one night stand turns into something much more dangerous as Jenna is drawn into a high-stakes investigation, and becomes a primary target. Jacob is assigned to her for security, much to his delight and her dismay, and they find themselves battling passion and lust while trying to defend Jenna from the men determined to kill her.
Their enemies are even closer than they expected. Can Jacob protect her when it she becomes the number one asset as well as the number one target? And can Jenna resolve herself to believe in Happily-Ever-After after her own tragic past? The battle begins.
This book had the potential, and while the romance was pretty good and some of the sex scenes were hot, the plot was too predictable and kind of unrealistic. I think the author could have made this book so much simpler but instead she came up with so many different plot lines and decided to just stuff it all in one book.
Beware of the major spoiler below... If you plan on reading this book, don't read below.
This is the first story that I've read by this author and it had me hooked from the beginning to the end. The chemistry between Jenna and Jacob was steamy. They connected from the moment their eyes met. The story had steam, suspense and humor (Jennas' cat Chuckles aka Satan need I say more). I would go into more details but I'm afraid that I'll reveal some spoilers about the story. Definitely worth the read.
So yeah after staring at the cover for quite a while ( I mean hello...yum) I finally started the book and really enjoyed it. I thought it was well written and I have to be honest it was really enjoyable picturing the first couple of chapters at the strip club!!!!
I'm really looking forward to reading Alex and Amy's story next
I would have given this book 4 stars if it weren't for the constant change in POV. Every other paragraph it jumped between Jenna and Jacob, and it was really rather jarring, particularly the sex scenes. The whole book would have flowed a lot easier if the POV stayed with one person for one scene etc.
Undercover Attraction was fairly well written and a quick, easy read. The relationship between the main cgaracters moved faster than what I usually enjoy though. Overall, it was a decent read. If there was a half-star option I would rate it 2.5 stars.
I have to say..... The Stripping scenes are HOT! This is a great book and it has a GREAT COVER! WOW!! There is lots of emotion that is just heart breaking, but the love story is wonderful. This book is also full of a great suspenseful case. I truly enjoyed it.
It took me a few days to read to read this book. There was just no real desire to finish it. While the story was interesting, I just didnt develop any feelings one way or the other for the characters. This book was ho-hum for me.
Something Fast and fun that i started reading yesterday night to kill time and ended up actually liking it enough. It was kind of funny with a very sad "almost" ending.
