About the author

Jessica M. Vidinha was born in Fall River, MA and received her degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing at Emerson College. While she discovered her love for literature upon entering kindergarten, it wasn't until she found herself recommending picture and early reader books in a bustling downtown Boston bookstore that she realized her love for children's stories and their ability to speak to children and adults alike.

My son loves this book at Christmastime. We’ve made it a family tradition to read it to him at least one night a week during the month of December. The story of May and her band of merry elves helping a down-on-his-luck fallen star teaches youngsters a valuable lesson about teamwork and inclusiveness.
