15 books84 followersAs far back as I can remember, I've had a love affair with books. I loved to live vicariously through each character, and dreamed of the day when I'd write my own books. I loved to write and make up stories, a talent which was both loved and hated by many of my English teachers. As I got older, I had teachers encourage me to write, but they admonished me to ‘stop writing the weird stuff and tone down the sarcasm!' But what fun is that?
However, my other love was music, and playing clarinet and saxophone ended up paying my way through college by way of a scholarship. As is often the case, life happened and I didn't get back to writing until 2003, when my husband and son encouraged me to ‘stop talking about it, and go do it!' So, I joined my local Romance Writers of America chapter and poured myself into learning everything I could about writing and publishing, and both the business and creative side of being a writer.
I worked hard, and in ten months wrote INTO A DANGEROUS MIND, and set about the business of submitting and entering contests while I moved on to writing STONE MAIDEN. I entered dozens of contests and rewrote and revised that book several dozen times. I also received tons of great rejections from both agents and editors. Yes - you read right - GREAT rejections. Most of them saying, "we really liked your story, but it has the following weaknesses..." With every one, I refined and rewrote and learned everything I could. Then in October 2004, I received the fateful ‘call.' Okay, it was an email, but thus began one of the best chapters in my life. Since then, I've hit the ground running and never looked back. I also write under the pen name Cassie Ryan.
I currently live in sunny Arizona with my two favorite men--my husband and my son--and our two cats.

The classic struggle between good and evil is given a new and exciting twist by Tina Gerow.
The good gals are a family of four gargoyle shifters - how cool is that? One sister is recently married and pregnant with a gargoyle/vampire cross breed. (The Stone Maiden - book 1)
Of course, a life and death prophesy is the crux of this tale. Each person in the prophesy gets to know only the part that pertains to them and no sharing until the "right" time. Kefira will walk on the dark side and need to be brought back into the fold by Dagan, teh gargoyle protector and on-again off-again love interest of Kefira.
An interesting collection of creatures in this series: the succubus Queen (evil), vampires (good), werewolves (evil), angels and fairies (good - prophesy speakers) and mixed breed children - succubus/vampire (evil, of course).
All in all a terrific yarn. I understand that Dara's story is next - can't wait though I don't have a clue when or what it's even titled.

It was an ok read but what about the other 2 Gargoyles where is their books or story.

Kefira Knight, setelah ditinggal oleh dagan & kehilangan bayi dalam kandungannya membuat kefira mjd keras & sangat gampang tersulut emosi.
dagan, pria yg dicintainya, yg harusnya mjd pelindung bagi klan terakhir gargoyle pergi meninggalkan mereka century ago.
tapi tiba2 saja dagan muncul dipeternakan logan dlm kondisi terluka.
segala sakit hati kefira kembali.
alonna, sepupu kecil mereka, si cantik sexy seukuran barbie, kembali membawa prophecy bagi kefira.
kurang lebih sih kefira akan mengalami ujian yg mengharuskannya memilih jalan yg dpt membawanya pd kegelapan ataukah terang & hanya sang pelindunglah yg dpt menolongnya.
yah pelindungnya ya tak lain & tak bukan si dagan.
tp gimana dagan mau melindungi kefira kalo satu2nya hal yg ingin dilakukan kefira yg berhubungan dgn dagan adl menancapkan pedangnya pd dada dagan.
gabriel kembali bertitah, dagan harus menjadi pelindung bagi bayi turunan. bayi ariel (gargoyle) dengan logan (gargolye/vampire).
james pun mendapat titah untuk melindungi bayi dalam kandungan tersebut.
sementara akan hadir bayi terang, si ratu succubus (yg aq lupa namanya) mempersiapkan bayi kegelapan. bayi dari pria yg dicintainya yg telah mati.
& ternyata si ratu succubus mengincar kefira.
nah di novel ini ada si kefira saking marahnya dia pergi sendiri.
kena panah segitu banyaknya, eh tengah2nya mo berubah jadi batu dia disruduk sapi.
xixixixixixixi ada ga ya cerita ttg heroine yg mati karna disruduk sapi????
kagak elite banget ya......
hhhhhhhh lagi2 terjemahannya ga bisa diharapkan.
ini novelnya yg aneh ato terjemahannya yg kacau, menurutku sih 2-2nya sama aja.
terjemahannya kaku abis & aneh.
ceritanya juga aneh banget....
aq ga simpati sama sekali dgn kefira & dagan.
trus ada lagi pas ariel mo lahiran tuh pedang menancap dengan enaknya diperut dia
apa ga mati ya???
trus bayi yg dilahirkan berubah jadi batu....
idih!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
terlalu tinggi daya imajinasinya & berhubung kekuatanku ga segedhe itu jd nyerah aja deh baca buku ini
